Levothroid è prescritto per il trattamento dell'obesità, l’ipotiroidismo primario, secondario,e terziario, e l’ipotiroidismo subclinico. Il suo ingrediente principale è levotiroxina sodica, una sostanza identica a quella dell'ormone tiroide.
Indicazioni
Si consiglia di prendere la medicina come è stato prescritto dal medico. Dovrebbe essere preso 30-60 minuti prima di colazione con un bicchiere d'acqua. Non interrompere il trattamento senza l'approvazione del vostro medico.
Precauzioni
Le persone di mezza età, pazienti con insufficienza surrenalica, malattie cardiovascolari devono assumere il farmaco con cautela.
Controindicazioni
I pazienti con alto rischio di infarto miocardico , tireotossicosi e insufficienza surrenalica non possono utilizzare il farmaco.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Gli effetti collaterali possono essere: ansia cefalea, insonnia, nervosismo o irritabilità, iperattività, labilità emotiva, febbre, tachicardia, aritmie, vampate di calore, sudorazione, cambiamenti nel ciclo mestruale, alterazioni dell'appetito, diarrea, vomito, cambiamenti di peso, perdita di capelli, vampate di calore.
Interazione farmacologica
Prima di iniziare il trattamento informare il proprio medico su tutti i farmaci assunti, in particolare si presta attenzione alle seguenti sostanze: carbonato di calcio, polistirene sulfonato di sodio, solfato ferroso supplemento di ferro, sucralfato, antiacidi contenenti alluminio, farmaci che abbassano il colesterolo colestipolo, colestiramina, warfarin, digossina , il litio, gli agenti anti-tiroide, fenobarbital, rifamicine, prodotti estrogeni, farmaci per il diabete, amiodarone, ioduro, beta-bloccanti, gli antidepressivi e gli ormoni della crescita.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose non appena possibile. Se è quasi ora della dose successiva basta saltare e tornare al vostro programma.
Sovradosaggio
Se pensi di aver assunto un’ overdose del farmaco cercare assistenza medica di emergenza immediatamente. I sintomi di sovradosaggio sono il battito cardiaco, dolore toracico, tremori, crampi alle gambe, confusione e disorientamento, mancanza di respiro, vomito, diarrea, o convulsioni.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 59-77 F (15-25 C) lontano dalla luce e dall'umidità, bambini e animali domestici.
