Dostinex appartiene ad un gruppo di farmaci chiamati antagonisti del recettore della dopamina. Il farmaco agisce riducendo la quantità di prolattina che viene rilasciata dalla ghiandola pituitaria. Dostinex viene somministrato per trattare uno squilibrio ormonale,chiamato iperprolattinemia, causato da un eccesso di prolattina nel sangue.
Indicazioni
Usare Dostinex esattamente come gli è stato prescritto dal medico. Solitamente il farmaco viene preso 2 volte alla settimana per una durata di 6 mesi. Non assumere Dostinex ogni giorno a meno che il medico ti dica di farlo.
Precauzioni
Se siete allergici al farmaco,se soffrite di ipertensione,di malattie al fegato e di vertigini non dovete utilizzare il farmaco. Anche le donne in gravidanza non possono assumere Dostinex.
Controindicazioni
Prima di iniziare il trattamento con Dostinex riferire al proprio medico se si soffre di qualche allergia,di pressione alta o di problemi cardiaci.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Il farmaco può causare vertigini, vomito, eruzione cutanea, mal di testa, conati di vomito, immobilità e qualche reazione allergica. Chiamare il proprio medico per un consiglio medico circa gli effetti collaterali.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Informare il proprio medico circa tutti i farmaci da prescrizione o da banco in uso, in particolare per quanto riguarda farmaci per la pressione sanguigna, bloccanti della dopamina, sonniferi, sostanze contro il dolore, farmaci anti-ansia, antidepressivi o difenidramina.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere dosi extra per compensare le dosi dimenticate.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza. I sintomi da sovradosaggio possono includere: cambiamenti psichici, accumulo nasale, debolezza, conati di vomito o pigrizia.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra 15-30 C (59-86 F). Conservare lontano da umidità e luce. Tenere fuori dalla portata di bambini ed animali domestici.
