Información general

Instrucciones
Tome Mestinon exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. Tómelo por vía oral con o sin alimentos, generalmente 1 o 2 veces al día (al menos 6 horas de diferencia) Trague la pastilla entera. De tomar este medicamento con comida o leche puede ayudar a disminuir los efectos secundarios. La dosis media es de diez 60 mg comprimidos separados para proporcionar el máximo alivio cuando la fuerza máxima que se necesita. En los casos graves la dosis hasta 25 tabletas al día puede ser necesaria, mientras que en los casos leves, desde uno hasta seis tabletas al día puede ser suficiente.
Precauciones
Antes de tomar Mestinon debe hablar con su médico si usted tiene una enfermedad pulmonar (asma, enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica), enfermedad renal, lentos o irregulares. Las personas de edad pueden correr un mayor riesgo de efectos secundarios.
Contraindicaciones

Los posibles efectos secundarios
Obtenga ayuda médica de emergencia si usted tiene náuseas, vómito, diarrea, dolor abdominal, aumento de la salivación, la disminución de tamaño de las pupilas, aumento de orina, o aumento de la sudoración, calambres musculares, debilidad, dificultad para respirar, erupción cutánea, picor, hinchazón de la cara, lengua, la garganta, mareos intensos, dificultad para respirar, ritmo cardíaco lento, dolor de cabeza, problemas de visión, dolor en las articulaciones, ojos llorosos, dolor de estómago. Si usted nota otros efectos no mencionados anteriormente, consulte a su médico.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Dígale a su médico acerca de todas las medicinas que usted use, especialmente: medicamentos anticolinesterásicos para los ojos (fisostigmina), betabloqueantes (timolol, propranolol), los antibióticos aminoglucósidos (gentamicina), medicamentos antiarrítmicos (disopiramida, procainamida, quinidina), analgésicos narcóticos (morfina, codeína ), mefloquina, los medicamentos anticolinérgicos (clidinio, diciclomina, la belladona, escopolamina). La interacción entre los dos medicamentos no siempre significa que usted debe dejar de tomar uno de ellos. Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son náuseas, vómitos, diarrea, saliva aumentado considerablemente, visión borrosa, latido cardiaco rápido o lento, confusión, agitación, calambres musculares, debilidad, incapacidad para moverse, dificultad para respirar, pérdida del conocimiento.
Almacenamiento
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 59-86 grados F (15-30 grados C) lejos de la luz y la humedad. No guarde los medicamentos en el cuarto de baño. Mantenga todos los medicamentos fuera del alcance de los niños y las mascotas.
