Indicazioni
Si consiglia di assumere il farmaco come prescritto dal medico. Da ingerire con un bicchier d'acqua. Di solito la dose consigliata è di 30-60 minuti prima di colazione. Non superare la dose.
Precauzioni
Fare attenzione a utilizzare la medicina se si soffre di malattie cardiovascolari e concomitante insufficienza surrenalica.
Controindicazioni
Ai pazienti soggetti ad infarto miocardico acuto, tireotossicosi subclinica o palese non trattate e una non corretta insufficienza surrenalica non è consentito l’utilizzo del farmaco.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Gli effetti collaterali possono essere: ansia, cefalea, insonnia, nervosismo o irritabilità, iperattività, labilità emotiva, febbre, tachicardia, aritmie, vampate di calore, sudorazione, cambiamenti nel ciclo mestruale, alterazioni dell'appetito, diarrea, vomito, cambiamenti di peso, perdita di capelli, vampate di calore.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Il farmaco può interagire con i seguenti farmaci: carbonato di calcio (Oystercal, Caltrate, Citracal), polistirene sulfonato di sodio (Kayexalate, Kionex), solfato ferroso supplemento di ferro, sucralfato (Carafate), antiacidi contenenti alluminio (Rulox, Tums, Maalox, Mylanta , Riopan, Amphojel, Gaviscon), farmaci per abbassare il colesterolo colestipolo (Colestid) e Colestiramina (Questran), warfarin, digossina, prodotti estrogeni, farmaci per il diabete, amiodarone, ioduro, litio, agenti anti-tiroide, fenobarbital, rifamicine, beta bloccanti, antidepressivi e ormoni della crescita.
Dose mancata
Assumere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Se è quasi ora della dose successiva basta non assumerla e tornare ad assumere il farmaco come previsto.
Sovradosaggio
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 15-25 °C (59-77 F) lontano dalla luce e dall'umidità, da bambini e animali domestici. Non utilizzare dopo termine di scadenza.
