Informazioni generali
Meclizine è un antistaminico e anticolinergico. Il farmaco agisce bloccando un messaggero chimico presente nel cervello, che aiuta a ridurre o prevenire il vomito. Meclizine è usato per trattare o prevenire nausea, vomito e vertigini causate dalla cinetosi. E 'utilizzato anche per vertigini (o capogiri) causati da alcuni problemi dell'orecchio interno.
Indicazioni
Utilizzare questo farmaco esattamente come prescritto dal medico. Non utilizzare in quantità maggiori o più a lungo di quanto raccomandato. Prenderee Meclizine con un bicchiere pieno d'acqua. Per evitare la cinetosi, prendere la dose da 25 a 50 mg circa 1 ora prima del viaggio o di attività che possono causare la cinetosi. Per il trattamento di vertigini, può essere necessario prendere Meclizine più volte al giorno. La dose raccomandata è di 25 -100 mg al giorno, in dosi divise.
Precauzioni
Durante il trattamento con Meclizine non si dovrebbe né giudare ne usare macchinari pericolosi. Prima di utilizzare il farmaco informare il proprio medico se si è in periodo d'allattamento. Evitare di bere bevande alcooliche durante il trattamento.
Controindicazioni
Non assumere il farmaco , se siete allergici a Meclizine, o se si ha l'asma, glaucoma, problemi di minzione, ingrossamento della ghiandola prostatica. Non è raccomandato nei bambini al di sotto dei 12 anni di età.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza se si manifesta uno dei seguenti sintomi di un allergia:orticaria, difficoltà respiratorie, gonfiore del viso, delle labbra o della lingua. Meno gravi effetti collaterali possono essere: visione offuscata, ritenzione urinaria, ipotensione, secchezza delle fauci, vertigini, sonnolenza.
Interazioni farmacologiche
L'uso di alcool,di sedativi o di tranquillanti può aumentare la sonnolenza causata da Meclizine. Si Informi il medico circa tutti i farmaci in uso compresi i farmaci da prescrizione,quelli da banco, vitamine, minerali e prodotti erboristici. Non iniziare un nuovo farmaco senza prima aver consultato il medico.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere dosi extra per compensare le dosi dimenticate. In alcuni casi il farmaco è preso solo quando necessario,perciò è assente un programma di dosaggio specifico.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza. Il sovradosaggio può provocare sonnolenza estrema.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 15-30 C (59-86 F) lontano da luce, calore e umidità.
