Proscar è indicato per il trattamento dell'iperplasia prostatica benigna (ingrossamento benigno della prostata). Finasteride è il suo principio attivo. Il medicinale aiuta a diminuire la ritenzione urinaria, controlla i sintomi della malattia e riduce il rischio di un intervento chirurgico.
Indicazioni
Si consiglia di assumere il farmaco con un bicchiere d’acqua con o senza cibo. Consultare il proprio medico per quanto riguarda la prescrizione di un dosaggio adeguato per voi.
Precauzioni
Prima di iniziare il trattamento è necessario informare il proprio medico se si soffre di allergia ad alcuni ingredienti del farmaco o ad altre allergie.
Controindicazioni
Non è consentita l’assunzione di Proscar da parte di donne, bambini e pazienti con ipersensibilità al farmaco.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Gli effetti collaterali possono essere i seguenti: vertigini, debolezza insolite, sonnolenza, disturbi del sonno, visione offuscata, naso che cola, problemi di eiaculazione, erezione del pene che dura 4 ore o più, forti capogiri o svenimento. Se si verifica uno dei seguenti effetti collaterali contattare immediatamente il medico.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Prima di iniziare a prendere Proscar è necessario informare il proprio medico di tutti i medicinali che si possono assumere.
Dose mancata
Assumere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Se è quasi ora della dose successiva basta non assumerla e tornare ad assumere il farmaco come previsto.

Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 20-25 °C (68-77 gradi F) lontano dalla luce e dall'umidità. Conservare tutti i farmaci lontano dalla portata dei bambini e dagli animali domestici.
