Ditropan Xl appartiene alla famiglia di farmaci chiamati anticolinergici. Questo farmaco agisce rilassando i muscoli della vescica ed inoltre aiuta a ridurre gli spasmi della vescica, la voglia di urinare e la frequenza della minzione.
Indicazioni
Assumere Ditropan Xl esattamente come prescritto dal medico. La dose iniziale abituale va da 5 mg a 10 mg una volta al giorno,da assumere alla stessa ora ogni giorno. Il medico può aumentare la dose giornaliera di questo farmaco di 5 mg ogni settimana. La dose massima giornaliera è di 30 mg . Questo farmaco può essere indifferentemente a stomaco pieno ovuoto. Assumere Ditropan Xl con acqua o altri liquidi. Non schiacciare, masticare, o dividere le compresse. La dose iniziale raccomandata per i bambini dai 6 anni d'età in su e con problemi della vescica causati da disturbi neurologici (come la spina bifida) è di 5 mg una volta al giorno. Se necessario, il medico potrebbe lentamente aumentare la dose fino a 20 mg una volta al giorno.
Precauzioni
Prima di iniziare il trattamento con Ditropan XL informare il proprio medico se si hanno:malattie epatiche o renali, cirrosi, glaucoma, miastenia grave, malattia da reflusso gastroesofageo (GERD), ingrossamento della prostata. Lasciate che il vostro medico si occupi di voi se siete incinta o state allattando.
Controindicazioni
Evitare l'assunzione di Ditropan Xl se si è allergici a ossibutinina o ad uno qualsiasi degli eccipienti del farmaco e se si dispone di perdita di sangue acuta, ritenzione urinaria, atonia intestinale, miastenia grave, megacolon, ileo paralitico o uropatia ostruttiva.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza se si hanno:secchezza delle fauci, costipazione, cefalea, sonnolenza, nausea, diarrea, debolezza, visione offuscata, vertigini, bruciori di stomaco, infezioni della vescica. Se si notano altri effetti non elencati sopra, contattare il medico.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Si informi il medico circa tutti i farmaci in uso, in particolare riguardo a:inibitori della proteasi (atazanavir, ritonavir, indinavir), farmaci antimicotici o antibiotici (ketoconazolo, isoniazide, itraconazolo, eritromicina), pramlintide, farmaci anticolinergici (diciclomina, clozapina, trospio, ipratropio), inibitori dell'acetilcolinesterasi (tacrina, galantamina, donepezil). Si informi il medico circa tutti i farmaci in uso compresi i farmaci da prescrizione,quelli da banco e i prodotti erboristici.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere dosi extra per compensare le dosi dimenticate.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza. I sintomi da sovradosaggio sono:aumento della pressione all'interno degli occhi, grave costipazione, difficoltà nella minzione, secchezza della pelle, secchezza delle fauci.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 59-77 gradi F (15-25 ° C) lontano dalla luce e dall'umidità. Conservare il farmaco lontano dalla portata dei bambini e degli animali domestici.
