Neurontin (Gabapentin)
Informazioni generali
Gabapentin è un farmaco antiepilettico o anche altrimenti detto anticonvulsivante. Agisce sulle sostanze chimiche e sui nervi del corpo che sono coinvolti e che sono implicati nella sopraggiunta di convulsioni e di alcuni tipi di dolore.
Indicazioni
Neurontin può essere assunto indifferentemente a stomaco pieno o vuoto inghiottendo il farmaco con un bicchiere di acqua. Non schiacciare, masticare, o rompere la compressa che è a rilascio prolungato. Non smettere di prendere Neurontin per gli attacchi convulsivi senza aver prima parlato con il proprio medico, anche se ci si sente bene. Può darsi che gli attacchi epilettici se si smette di assumere Neurontin improvvisamente potrebbero ripresentarsi di nuovo. Seguire le indicazioni sulla vostra prescrizione medica.
Precauzioni
Non si dovrebbe usare Neurontin se si è allergici a gabapentin. Prima di assumere il medicinale, informare il proprio medico se si ha problemi di reni, fegato, o le malattie cardiache. Informi il medico se si è in gravidanza o si sta pianificando una gravidanza durante l'utilizzo di questo farmaco. Non bere alcol e non fumare.
Controindicazioni
Evitare di assumere Neurontin se è allergico al gabapentin.

Questo farmaco può causare eruzioni, prurito, cefalea, nausea, ecc Segnalare eventuali nuovi sintomi o peggioramento al vostro medico.
Interazione farmacologica
Informare il proprio medico se si ha usato qualsiasi prodotto a base di erbe. Il medicinale può interagire con antiacidi, morfina, naprossene e sevelamer. Consultare il proprio medico o farmacista per ulteriori informazioni.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose non appena possibile. Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere la medicina due volte contemporaneamente per compensare la dose dimenticata.
Sovradosaggio
Informare il medico se si pensa di aver utilizzato una dose eccessiva del farmaco. I sintomi di sovradosaggio possono includere visione offuscata, vertigini, nausea, sensazione di svenimento, difficoltà a parlare.
Conservazione
Conservare i farmaci a temperatura ambiente tra i 68-77 gradi F (20-25 gradi C). Conservare lontano da umidità e luce. Tenere fuori dalla portata dei bambini e lontano da animali domestici.
