Suminat se utiliza para el tratamiento de migrañas severas. Su acción consiste en estrechar los vasos sanguíneos en ciertas partes del cerebro que se creen causar dolores de cabeza - migraña. También está dirigido a reducir las sustancias en el cuerpo que pueden provocar dolor de cabeza, náuseas, sensibilidad a la luz y el sonido, y otros síntomas de migraña.
Instrucciones
Inyecte una dosis de spray (20 mg) en una fosa nasal a la primera señal de un ataque de migraña. La segunda dosis debe aplicarse 2 horas después de la primera, si segun los síntomas se empeora la migraña.
Precauciones
Notifique a su médico si usted ha tenido una historia de la hiponatremia, convulsiones repetidas o si usted sufre de presión arterial alta. Este medicamento se puede aplicar sólo en casos de cefalea en racimos o de migrañas agudas. Evite el uso de Suminat spray nasal para evitar las migrañas habituales.
Contraindicaciones
Este medicamento está contraindicado en pacientes que presentan hipersensibilidad a cualquier componente de la formulación. Este medicamento no debe usarse en mujeres embarazadas o lactantes, pacientes con antecedentes de infarto de miocardio, basales, las formas, los ophtalmoplegic de la migraña hemipléjica, la cardiopatía isquémica, angina de pecho, hipertensión, enfermedad oclusiva arterial periférica, accidente vascular cerebral transitorio o accidente cerebrovascular, insuficiencia hepática o insuficiencia renal, epilepsia, niños y adolescentes (menores de 18 años), en pacientes mayores de 65 años o en pacientes que recientemente han utilizado inhibidores de la MAO antes de tomar este medicamento.
Posibles efectos secundarios
Efectos a largo plazo más frecuentes y de corta secundarios pueden incluir dolor o sensación de hormigueo en el cuerpo, cansancio inusual, náuseas, vómitos, presión arterial cambiando, visión borrosa. Las reacciones alérgicas también pueden ocurrir relacionadas con sibilancias, dificultad para respirar, fiebre del heno, urticaria, hinchazón, picazón, enrojecimiento de la piel. En algunos casos, los pacientes experimentaron efectos colaterales más graves, como convulsiones.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
En caso de que usted no está seguro si este medicamento es compatible con otros medicamentos o suplementos, hable con su médico o farmacéutico. Notifique a su médico si usted ya está recibiendo la inyección de sumatriptán o tomar almotriptán (Axert), eletriptán (Relpax), frovatriptan (Frova), naratriptán (Amerge), rizatriptán (Maxalt, Maxalt-MLT) o zolmitriptán (Zomig), o medicamentos con ergotamina , como dihidroergotamina (DHE 45, Migranal), ergotamina (Ergomar, Cafergot, Migergot), dihidroergotamina (DHE 45, Migranal), o metilergonovina (Methergine), antidepresivos como el citalopram (Celexa), desvenlafaxina (Pristiq), duloxetina (Cymbalta) , escitalopram (Lexapro), fluoxetina (Prozac, Sarafem), fluvoxamina (Luvox), paroxetina (Paxil), sertralina (Zoloft), o venlafaxina (Effexor).
Dosis omitida
Este medicamento se usa solamente cuando es necesario, por lo que no tiene que seguir un horario de ingesta segura.
Sobredosis
Si usted cree que tiene una sobredosis del medicamento, comuníquese inmediatamente con su centro local de envenenamiento y notifique a su médico o farmacéutico. Los síntomas de sobredosis pueden incluir convulsiones, torpeza en los movimientos, parálisis, torpeza, enrojecimiento en los brazos y las piernas, lentitud, temblores, respiración irregular, pulso acelerado, pupilas dilatadas.
Almacenaje
