Arimidex (Anastrozole)

Arimidex è un farmaco usato per trattare il cancro al seno nelle donne in postmenopausa. Abbassa i livelli di estrogeni nelle donne in postmenopausa, e può rallentare la crescita di alcuni tipi di tumori al seno che hanno bisogno di estrogeni per crescere nel corpo.
Indicazioni
Prendere Arimidex esattamente come prescritto dal proprio medico. Di solito va preso una volta al giorno più o meno alla stessa ora, indifferentemente a stomaco pieno o vuoto. La dose raccomandata di Arimidex nelle donne in postmenopausa è di 1 mg al giorno. Non interrompere l'assunzione del farmaco senza parlarne con il medico.
Precauzioni
Prima di utilizzare Arimidex, informi il medico se si hanno malattie cardiache, problemi di circolazione, precedenti di ictus o coagulo di sangue, malattie gravi del fegato, colesterolo alto, osteoporosi. Può ridurre la densità minerale ossea, aumentando cosi il rischio di sviluppare osteoporosi. La densità minerale ossea può avere bisogno di essere testata prima e durante il trattamento con questo medicinale.
Controindicazioni
Non utilizzare Arimidex in caso di gravidanza o se si sta allattando, se si è allergici ad anastrozolo, o se non si ha ancora completato la menopausa. Il farmaco non deve essere usato dagli uomini o bambini.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Ottenere assistenza medica di emergenza se si dispone di uno qualsiasi di questi segni di una reazione allergica ad Arimidex: orticaria, difficoltà respiratorie, debolezza, ingrossamento delle ghiandole linfatiche, mal di testa, problemi di vista o della parola. Gli effetti collaterali più comuni sono: mal di schiena, osteoporosi, diarrea, perdita di appetito, vertigini.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Arimidex può interagire con altri farmaci tra cui gli estrogeni, contraccettivi orali. Prima di iniziare a prendere Arimidex, informi il medico se contemporaneamente si assume tamoxifene.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose non appena possibile. Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere una dose della medicina extra per compensare la dose dimenticata.
Sovradosaggio
Se pensi di aver assunto un’ overdose del farmaco chiamare immediatamente l’ assistenza medica di emergenza . I sintomi di sovradosaggio sono dolori addominali, sangue nelle feci, nausea e vomito.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 68-77 gradi F (20-25 ° C) lontano dalla luce e dall'umidità. Non conservare i farmaci in bagno. Conservare tutti i farmaci lontano dalla portata dei bambini e animali domestici.
