Dostinex est dans un groupe de médicaments appelés antagonistes des récepteurs de la dopamine. Il agit en réduisant la quantité de prolactine qui est libérée par la glande pituitaire. Il est utilisé pour traiter un déséquilibre hormonal dans lequel il y a trop de prolactine dans le sang, aussi appelé hyperprolactinémie.
Posologie
Prenez ce médicament exactement comme il a été prescrit pour vous. Il est généralement pris deux fois par semaine pendant au moins 6 mois. Ne prenez pas ce médicament chaque jour, sauf si votre médecin vous l’a prescrit.
Précautions
N’utilisez pas ce médicament si vous êtes allergique à ce médicament ou si vous souffrez d'hypertension, de maladie du foie, des vertiges ou si vous êtes enceinte. Ne buvez pas d'alcool.
Contre-indications
Avant d'utiliser Dostinex, avertissez votre médecin si vous êtes sensible aux allergies ou si vous avez une tension artérielle élevée ou des problèmes cardiaques.
Effets secondaires possibles
Ce médicament peut provoquer des étourdissements, un écoeurement, l'éruption, des maux de tête, des nausées, une immobilité et une certaine réaction allergique. Consultez votre médecin pour un avis médical sur les effets secondaires.
Interaction des médicaments
Informez votre médecin de tous les médicaments sur ordonnance et en vente libre que vous utilisez, en particulier des médicaments pour la tension artérielle, des bloqueurs de dopamine, des somnifères, des analgésiques narcotiques, des médicaments contre l’anxiété, des antidépresseurs ou la diphenhydramine.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Attirez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous pensez que vous avez utilisé trop de médicament. Les symptômes du surdosage peuvent inclure des changements psychiques, une congestion nasale, un écoeurement, des nausées ou une léthargie.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à température ambiante entre 15-30 C (59-86 F). Conserve-le à l'écart de l'humidité et de la lumière. Gardez-le hors de portée des enfants et loin des animaux domestiques.
