O que devo dizer ao meu médico antes de tomar este medicamento?
Precisa de saber se tem alguma das seguintes condições:
- qualquer doença crónica
- glaucoma
- doença da próstata
- úlcera ou outros problemas de estômago
- reacção alérgica a ciproheptadina, outros medicamentos, alimentos, corantes e conservantes
- se está grávida ou a tentar engravidar
- se está a amamentar
Como devo tomar este medicamento?
Tome este medicamento por via oral com um copo de água. Cumpra as indicações prescritas. Tome as suas doses em intervalos regulares. Não tome o medicamento mais do que indicado.
Fale com o seu pediatra quanto à utilização deste medicamento em crianças. Se este medicamento for prescrito a crianças até 2 anos de idade para alguns sintomas, devem ser tomadas precauções.
Sobredosagem: Se pensa que poderá ter tomado uma dose superior ao prescrito contacte o Centro de Informação Antivenenos ou os Serviços de Urgência de imediato.
NOTA: Este medicamento é apenas para si. Não o partilhe com outros.
Que fazer se falhei uma toma?
Se se esquecer, tome assim que possível. Se já está próximo da próxima toma, tome apenas esta. Não tome doses extra.
O que pode interferir com este medicamento?
Não tome este medicamento com nenhum dos seguintes:
- MAOIs como Carbex, Eldepryl, Marplan, Nardil, ou Parnate
Este medicamento pode também interferir com o seguinte:
- álcool
- medicamentos para dormir ou tratamento de convulsões
- medicamentos para a depressão, ansiedade, ou perturbações psicológicas
- medicamentos para dificuldades de movimento
- medicamentos para dormir
- medicamentos para problemas de estômago
- alguns medicamentos para constipações ou alergias

Evite bebidas alcoólicas.
A sua boca pode ficar seca. Mastigar pastilha elástica ou chupar rebuçados, e beber muita água pode ajudar. Contacte o seu médico se o problema persistir ou se piorar.
Este medicamento pode causar olhos lacrimejantes e visão desfocada. Se usa lentes de contacto pode sentir algum desconforto. Gotas lubrificantes podem ajudar. Visite o seu oftalmologista se o problema persistir ou piorar.
Este medicamento pode deixá-lo mais sensível ao sol. Mantenha-se afastado do sol. Se não consegue evitar estar ao sol, vista roupa que o proteja do sol e use creme protector solar. Não use lâmpadas bronzeadoras ou solários.
Que efeitos secundários posso notar com a toma deste medicamento?
Os efeitos secundários que deve reportar ao seu médico de imediato:
- reacções alérgicas como erupções cutâneas, urticaria ou prurido, inchaço da face, lábios ou língua
- agitação, nervosismo, excitação, não conseguir adormecer
- dores de peito
- aceleração ou batimentos cardíacos irregulares
- problemas em urinar, ou alteração do volume de urina
- convulsões
- hemorragia ou nódoas negras invulgares
- anormalmente cansado
- amarelecimento dos olhos ou pele
Efeitos secundários que normalmente não requerem atenção médica (consulte o seu médico se persistem ou são incómodos):
- obstipação ou diarreia
- dores de cabeça
- perda de apetite
- náusea, vomitar
- perturbações gástricas
- aumento de peso

Onde devo guardar o meu medicamento?
