Periactin es un medicamento recetado para el tratamiento de los síntomas de las alergias, como fiebre del heno y la enfermedad, vómitos, náuseas, mareos. Es un antihistamínico. Funciona bloqueando los efectos de la histamina, que produce el cuerpo. Asimismo, el medicamento puede ser recetado para el tratamiento de la cefalea en racimos y para estimular el apetito de las personas con peso bajo.
Instrucciones
Se recomienda tomar el medicamento como se lo indique su médico. Tómelo con un vaso grande de agua. No exceda la dosis recomendada. Por lo general, la dosis recomendada para adultos es de 4 mg 3 veces al día.Que puede variar hasta 20 mg por día. La dosis recomendada para niños es de 4 mg por día.
Precauciones
Use el medicamento con cuidado. Se le puede causar somnolencia o deteriorar su coordinación. Antes de comenzar su tratamiento, dile a su médico si usted tiene asma bronquial, glaucoma, hipertiroidismo, hipertensión arterial, enfermedades del corazón o problemas circulatorios.
Contraindicaciones
Las mujeres que amamantan, los pacientes con sensibilidad al clorhidrato de ciproheptadina o drogas con estructura química similar, obstrucción piloroduodenal, úlcera péptica estenosante, hipertrofia prostática sintomática, predisposición a la retención urinaria o la obstrucción del cuello vesical, la terapia de un ataque asmático agudo, glaucoma no pueden usar el medicamento.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Interacción con otros medicamentos
Periactin puede interactuar con los siguientes medicamentos: selegilina (Eldepryl, Emsam), isocarboxazid (Marplan), phenelzine (Nardil), rasagilina (Azilect), tranylcypromine (Parnate).
Dosis olvidada
Si ha olvidado tomar su dosis a tiempo, por favor, hágalo tan pronto como sea posible. Pero no tome si es demasiado tarde o casi tiempo para su próxima dosis. No tome dosis adicionales o dobles. Tome su dosis por lo general al día siguiente al mismo tiempo y con regularidad.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son somnolencia extrema, confusión, alucinaciones, boca muy seca, pupilas dilatadas, piel pálida, vómitos o desmayos.
Almacenamiento
