Ampicillin (Acillin)

Ampicillin appartiene al gruppo delle amino penicilline . Si tratta di un antibiotico ad ampio spettro. Il medicinale può essere prescritto per il trattamento di polmonite e altre malattie infettive, respiratorie, urogenitali e del sistema gastrointestinale. Ha effetto antibatterico che inibisce la costruzione della parete cellulare batterica. Ampicillin viene facilmente assorbito e non si distrugge nello stomaco. Il farmaco può combattere la salmonella, schigella, Proteus, E. coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, precedentemente chiamato bacillo di Pfeiffer.
Indicazioni
Si consiglia di prendere il farmaco come prescritto dal medico. Da ingerire con un bicchier d'acqua, mezz'ora prima o 2 ore dopo il pasto.
Precauzioni
Prima di iniziare il trattamento con Ampicillin bisogna informare il proprio medico se si è allergici alla penicillina o cefalosporine e se si soffre di diarrea. Il medicinale potrebbe mostrare dei falsi positivi in alcuni test delle urine.
Controindicazioni
Devono far attenzione all’assunzione del medicinale i pazienti che mostrano ipersensibilità alla Ampicillin e che inoltre soffrono di insufficienza epatica, asma, febbre da fieno.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Gli effetti collaterali possono essere i seguenti: diarrea, febbre, prurito, nausea, eruzioni cutanee, colite, mal di lingua o di bocca e vomito.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Ampicilln può interagire con i contraccettivi orali e farmaci per la coagulazione del sangue.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose non appena possibile e se si prende due volte al giorno, prendere la dose successiva 5-6 ore più tardi. Se si prende il farmaco tre volte al giorno, prendere la dose non appena se ne ricorda e per la successiva assunzione del farmaco attendere dalle 2 alle 4 ore. Non superare mai la dose consigliata.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di avere assunto un sovradosaggio del farmaco, cercare assistenza medica immediatamente. I sintomi di sovradosaggio possono essere reazioni allergiche come orticaria o rush.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 15 e i 30 gradi °C (tra i 59 e gli 86 gradi F) lontano dalla luce e dall'umidità.
