Usage général

Sa composante qui est le clavulanate de potassium dote à l’Augmentin une résistance à l'activité des bêta-lactamases bactériennes.
Posologie
Il est recommandé de prendre le médicament suivant la prescription de votre médecin. N’excédez pas la dose recommandée.
Précautions
Vous ne devriez pas utiliser le médicament si vous présentez des allergies à l’Augmentin ou à un autre antibiotique de pénicilline, une insuffisance hépatique ou rénale ou de la mononucléose.
Contre-indications
Les patients souffrant de réactions allergiques à l’Augmentin ou à un autre antibiotique de pénicilline, de mononucléose infectieuse, un antécédent de problèmes de foie ou de jaunissement des yeux ou de la peau causée par l’Augmentin ne doivent pas utiliser le médicament.
Effets secondaires possibles
Les effets secondaires peuvent être les suivants: dyspepsie, douleurs abdominales, ballonnements, nausées, gaz, vomissements, troubles de la fonction hépatique, hépatite, jaunisse provoquée par l’accumulation de la bile, démangeaisons vaginales et également des symptômes d'allergie.
Interaction des médicaments
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose omise dès que possible. S'il est presque l’heure de la prochaine prise, il suffit de sauter la dose omise et de revenir à votre horaire habituel.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez avoir pris une surdose du médicament, demandez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes de surdosage sont des nausées, des vomissements, des douleurs abdominales, de la diarrhée, des éruptions cutanées, de la somnolence, et de l'hyperactivité.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante de 59-86 °F (15-30 °C) à l’abri de la lumière et de l'humidité.
