Augmentin (Amoxicillin/clavulanate)
Informazioni generali
Augmentin appartiene al gruppo degli antibiotici ad ampio spettro. Tale antibiotico funziona distruggendo i batteri. Il medicinale è prescritto per il trattamento della polmonite e altre malattie infettive del sistema respiratorio, gastrointestinale e urogenitale, infezioni che possono comparire dopo un intervento chirurgico e altre. Il potassio clavulanato,suo componente, fornisce ad Augmentin la resistemza per le attività dei batteri beta-lattamasi.
Indicazioni
Si consiglia di prendere il farmaco nelle modalità con cui è stato prescritto dal medico. Il giusto dosaggio dipende dalle vostre condizioni e da altre circostanze. Non superare la dose consigliata.
Precauzioni
Non si deve usare il farmaco se si soffre di allergia agli antibiotici penicillina, se si soffre di insufficienza epatica o renale o se si è affetti da mononucleosi.
Controindicazioni
I pazienti con reazione allergica a Augmentin o ad un altro degli antibiotici con penicillina, con mononucleosi infettiva,o con precedenti di problemi al fegato o ingiallimento degli occhi e della pelle causate da Augmentin non possono utilizzare il farmaco.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Gli effetti collaterali più frequenti possono essere: dispepsia, dolore addominale, gonfiore, gas, nausea, vomito, disturbi della funzionalità epatica, epatite, ittero causato dal ristagno di bile, prurito vaginale e anche sintomi di un'allergia.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Augmentin può interagire con altri antibiotici cambiando la normale flora batterica del colon e consentendo la crescita eccessiva di Clostridium difficile, un batterio che provoca la colite pseudomembranosa.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose saltata non appena possibile. Se è quasi tempo di prendere la dose successiva saltarla e ritornare al vostro programma.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza. I sintomi da sovradosaggio sono:nausea, vomito, mal di stomaco, diarrea, eruzioni cutanee, sonnolenza e iperattività.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente di 59-86F (15-30C) lontano dalla luce e dall'umidità.
