Augmentin (Amoxicillin/clavulanate)
Uso común

Instrucciones
Se recomienda tomar el medicamento como fue recetado por su doctor. La osis depende de su estado y de otras circunstancias. No exceda la dosis recomendada.
Precauciones
Usted no debe usar este medicamento si tiene alergia a los antibióticos penicilina, tiene insuficiencia hepática o renal o mononucleosis.
Contraindicaciones
Los pacientes con reacción alérgica a la Augmentin u otro antibiótico penicilina, la mononucleosis infecciosa,una historia de problemas con el hígado o coloración amarillenta de los ojos o la piel causados por el Augmentin no pueden usar el medicamento.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Los efectos secundarios pueden ser los siguientes: dispepsia, malestar abdominal, hinchazón, gases, náuseas, vómitos, trastornos de la función hepática, hepatitis, ictericia causada por el estancamiento de la bilis, picazón vaginal y síntomas de la alergia.
Interacción con otros medicamentos
Augmentin puede interactuar con otros antibióticos cambiando la flora bacteriana normal del colon y permitir el sobrecrecimiento de C. difficile, una bacteria que causa la colitis pseudomembranosa.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. Si es casi la hora de la nueva ingesta, omítala y vuelva a su horario.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica inmediatamente. Los síntomas de sobredosis son náuseas, vómitos, dolor de estómago, diarrea, erupción cutánea, somnolencia e hiperactividad.
Almacenamiento
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente de 59-86F (15-30C), lejos de la luz y la humedad.
