CLARITROMICINA é um antibiótico macrolídeo. Impede o crescimento de certas bactérias. É usado para tratar vários tipos de infecções, como nos ouvidos, respiratórias, e infecções na pele. Não funciona com constipações, gripes, ou outro tipo de infecções virais.
O que devo dizer ao meu médico antes de tomar este medicamento?
Ele precisa de saber se tem alguma destas condições:
- doença de intestinos, como colite
- doença cardíaca ou batimento irregular
- doença renal
- doença hepática
- uma reacção alérgica ou rara a claritromicina, outros antibióticos macrolídeos, outros medicamentos, alimentos, corantes, ou conservantes
- se está grávida ou a tentar engravidar
- se está a amamentar
Como devo tomar este medicamento?
Tome este medicamento via oral com um copo de água. Se lhe causar dores de estômago pode tomar acompanhado de leite ou comida. Tome o seu medicamento em intervalos regulares. Não tomar o medicamento mais vezes do que o prescrito. Tome o medicamento como lhe foi receitado mesmo que pense estar melhor. Não saltar doses ou acabar de tomar o medicamento antes do previsto.
Fale com o seu pediatra sobre o uso deste medicamento em crianças. Cuidados especiais podem ser necessários.
Sobredosagem: Se pensa que poderá ter tomado uma dose superior ao prescrito contacte o Centro de Informação Antivenenos ou os Serviços de Urgência de imediato.
NOTA: Este medicamento é apenas para si. Não o partilhe com outros.
Que fazer se falhei uma toma?
Se esquecer de uma dose, tome-a o mais rapidamente possível. Se for quase altura da sua próxima dose, use apenas essa. Não redobre ou tome doses extra. Deve haver um intervalo de pelo menos 6 horas entre as doses.

- cisaprida
- colchicina
- ciclosporina
- digoxina
- medicamentos para infecções causadas por fungos como fluconazol, cetoconazol e itraconazol
- medicamentos para dormir ou ansiedade como alprazolam ou triazolam
- alguns medicamentos para dores de cabeça como ergotamina ou dihidroergotamina
- alguns medicamentos para o colesterol alto como atorvastatina, lovastatina, simvastatina
- alguns medicamentos para o ritmo cardíaco irregular como amiodarona, disopiramida, dofetilida, flecainida, procainamida, quinidina

Esta lista pode não conter todas as interacções possíveis. Que cuidados devo ter enquanto tomar este medicamento?
Fale com o seu médico caso os seus sintomas não melhorem.

Se tem diabetes, acompanhe de perto o nível de açúcar no seu sangue enquanto estiver a tomar este medicamento.

Efeitos secundários que deve reportar ao seu médico de imediato:
- reacções alérgicas, como borbulhas na pele, comichão ou urticária, inchaço na cara, lábios, ou língua
- batimento cardíaco irregular ou dores no peito
- dor ou dificuldade ao urinar
- bolhas ou pele a escamar, incluindo dentro da boca
- pele ou olhos amarelados
Efeitos secundários que normalmente não requerem atenção médica (diga ao seu médico ou profissional de saúde se persistem, ou se são incómodos):
- sabor anormal
- ansiedade, confusão, ou pesadelos
- diarreia

Onde devo guardar o meu medicamento?
