La clindamycine est un antibiotique qui combat les bactéries dans le corps. Il est utilisé pour traiter les infections graves causées par des bactéries telles que le paludisme, une contagion du système respiratoire, les tissures, les os et les joints, les organes ventraux. Mais on ne peut pas utiliser ce médicament pour traiter la méningite.
Posologie
Prenez exactement comme prescrit par votre médecin. Utilisez ce médicament avec un verre plein d'eau chaque jour, avec ou sans nourriture, à la même heure.
Précautions
Les médicaments antibiotiques peuvent provoquer la diarrhée ce qui peut être un signe d'une nouvelle infection. Si vous avez une diarrhée qui est aqueuse ou sanglante, arrêtez de prendre la clindamycine et appelez votre médecin. N’utilisez pas des médicaments contre la diarrhée sauf si votre médecin vous les a prescrit.
Contre-indications
N’utilisez pas ce médicament si vous êtes allergique à la clindamycine ou à la lincomycine. Avant d'utiliser la clindamycine, avisez votre médecin si vous avez une maladie des reins ou du foie, une maladie intestinale telle que la colite ou la maladie de Crohn. Avertissez votre médecin si vous êtes enceinte ou prévoyez devenir enceinte pendant le traitement.
Effets secondaires possibles
Obtenez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous avez un de ces signes: une réaction allergique, la diarrhée, un écoeurement, des nausées, une diminution de la miction, une jaunisse ou des démangeaisons vaginales.
Interaction des médicaments
Il y a peut-être d'autres médicaments qui peuvent interagir avec la clindamycine. Informez votre médecin de tous les médicaments que vous utilisez. Cela inclut les médicaments sur ordonnance ou en vente libre, les vitamines et les produits à base de plantes. Ne commencez pas à prendre un nouveau médicament sans en parler à votre médecin. Si vous avez besoin d'une intervention chirurgicale, informez le chirurgien au préalable que vous utilisez la clindamycine.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Les symptômes du surdosage peuvent être les suivants: un écoeurement, des nausées et une diarrhée. Cherchez de l’attention médicale d'urgence si vous pensez que vous avez pris trop de médicament.
Conservation
Conservez vos médicaments à température ambiante entre 59-77 degrés F (15-25 degrés C). Conservez-les à l'écart de l'humidité et de la lumière. Gardez-les hors de portée des enfants et loin des animaux domestiques.
