Información general
La doxiciclina es antibiotico derivado del grupo de las tetraciclinas. Se utiliza para tratar diferentes tipos de infecciones bacterianas como la gonorrea, clamidiosis, las infecciones del tracto urinario, el acné, la periodontitis (enfermedad de las encías), manchas y golpes.
Instrucciones
Se recomienda tomar el medicamento con un vaso lleno de agua después de la comida. La dosis debe ser dividida en dos, ser tomada cada 12 horas. No exceda la dosis.
Precauciones
No se quede bajo la radiación ultravioleta mucho tiempo durante su tratamiento y 4-5 días después. Si usted va a tener un tratamiento a largo plazo con doxiciclina , necesitará pruebas regulares de los contenidos periféricos de células de sangre, pruebas de función hepática y la determinación de nitrógeno y urea en suero.
Contraindicaciones
No tome el medicamento si tiene alergia a él o a cualquier otro antibiótico tetraciclina, si usted está embarazada o amamantando, si tiene leucopenia, porfiria, insuficiencia hepática grave. También los niños menores de 9 años de edad están contraindicados para usar doxiciclina.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Dolor de cabeza, mareos, dolor intenso en parte superior del estómago, visión borrosa, fiebre, escalofríos, dolores musculares, erupciones en la piel de color rojo, piel pálida o color amarillo, orina oscura, pérdida del apetito, fácil aparición de moretones o sangrado son efectos secundarios comunes. Hable con su médico si experimenta uno de ellos.
Interacción con otros medicamentos
La doxiciclina no se puede utilizar con aluminio, magnesio calcio, antiácidos, basados en minerales, warfarina, fenitoína (Dilantin), carbamazepina (Tegretol), y los barbitúricos.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. Si es casi la hora de la nueva ingesta, omítala y vuelva a su horario.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son náuseas, vómitos y diarrea.
Conservación
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 59-77 grados F (15-25 grados C) lejos de la luz y la humedad, de los niños y las mascotas. No use después de plazo de vencimiento.
