Informations générales
Sumycin appartient au groupe des tétracyclines. Il est prescrit pour le traitement des infections des voies digestives, pulmonaires, de l'acné, de la chlamydia, de la fièvre pourprée des montagnes Rocheuses, du typhus, du chancre mou, du choléra, de la brucellose, de l'anthrax, de la gonorrhée et de la syphilis.
Posologie
Il est recommandé de prendre le médicament suivant la prescription de votre médecin. Avalez la pilule en entier. Prenez-la avec un verre d'eau. N’excédez pas la dose recommandée.
Précautions
Ne prenez pas de bains de soleil pendant une trop longue période.
Contre-indications
Les femmes enceintes et celles en période d’allaitement, les patients présentant une hypersensibilité au médicament, les enfants de moins de 8 ans, les patients souffrant d'insuffisance rénale et de leucopénie ne devraient pas utiliser ce médicament.
Effets secondaires possibles
Les effets secondaires peuvent être les suivants: de l’urticaire, des difficultés respiratoires, un gonflement du visage, des lèvres, de la langue, des céphalées sévères, des vertiges, une vision floue, de la fièvre, des courbatures, une apparition de cloques, la desquamation, et des éruptions cutanées rouges, une rareté ou une absence d’urines, la jaunisse, l’obnubilation ou de la faiblesse, des douleurs abdominales, des nausées et des vomissements, un pouls rapide, des ecchymoses ou des saignements, une faiblesse inhabituelle. Si vous ressentez l'un de ces effets, contactez votre médecin immédiatement.
Interaction des médicaments
Sumycin peut avoir une interaction avec les médicaments suivants: pilules contraceptives, suppléments de fer, multivitamines, suppléments de calcium, antiacides, laxatifs ou pénicillines et céphalosporines.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose omise dès que possible. S'il est presque l’heure de la prochaine prise, il suffit de sauter la dose omise et de revenir à votre horaire habituel.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez avoir pris une surdose du médicament, demandez une aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes de surdosage sont les réactions allergiques ou des nausées, des vomissements et de la diarrhée.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante entre 59-77 °F (15-25 °C) à l’abri de la lumière et de l'humidité, hors de portée des enfants et des animaux domestiques. A ne pas utiliser après le délai de péremption.
