La venlafaxine est un antidépresseur dans un groupe de médicaments appelés inhibiteurs de la recapture de la sérotonine et de la noradrénaline (IRSN). Effexor affecte les produits chimiques du cerveau qui peuvent devenir déséquilibrés et provoquer une dépression. Il est utilisé pour traiter le trouble dépressif majeur, l'anxiété et le trouble panique.
Posologie
Utilisez-le conformément aux prescriptions de votre médecin. Prenez-le avec un verre d'eau, avec ou sans repas. Avalez la gélule en entier, sans l’écraser ou sans la mâcher. Continuez à prendre ce médicament comme prescrit, même si vous vous sentez bien.
Précautions
Vous ne devriez pas prendre Effexor, si vous avez une réaction allergique à la venlafaxine, le trouble bipolaire, une maladie des yeux, du foie ou des reins. Évitez d'utiliser le médicament si vous êtes enceinte.
Contre-indications
Évitez d'utiliser Effexor si vous êtes enceinte et ne l’administrez pas aux enfants ayant des symptômes allergiques.
Effets secondaires possibles

Interaction des médicaments
Informez votre médecin de tous les autres médicaments que vous utilisez. La venlafaxine peut interagir avec: les inhibiteurs de la MAO (tranylcypromine, Isocarboxazid, furazolidone, etc), des antiarythmiques (quinidine, propafénone), des antipsychotiques (fluphénazine) ou des antagonistes des récepteurs H2 (nizatidine, cimétidine, etc.) Consultez votre médecin ou votre pharmacien pour des informations supplémentaires.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Cherchez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous pensez que vous avez pris trop de médicament. Les symptômes du surdosage peuvent inclure un écoeurement, une anomalie des battements cardiaques ou des vertiges, des évanouissements, des douleurs thoraciques.
Conservation
