Paxil (Paroxetine)
Informations générales
Paxil est un inhibiteur sélectif de la recapture de la sérotonine. Il est prescrit pour le traitement de la dépression majeure associée à des troubles de l'humeur, la dysmorphophobie et l'anxiété.
Posologie
Il est recommandé de prendre le médicament suivant la prescription de votre médecin. Prenez-le avec un verre d'eau. Avalez la pilule en entier. N’excédez pas la dose recommandée.
Précautions
Avant de commencer votre traitement au Paxil, informez votre médecin si vous avez une réaction allergique au médicament, de l’obnubilation, des problèmes bipolaires, des reins, du foie ou des yeux. Les personnes d’âge moyen peuvent être plus sensibles au médicament.
Contre-indications
Les femmes enceintes et celles en période d’allaitement et les patients présentant une hypersensibilité au Paxil ne devraient pas utiliser ce médicament.
Effets secondaires possibles
Les effets secondaires peuvent être les suivants: un pouls rapide et irrégulier, des tremblements, de l’anxiété, une vision trouble, des vomissements, une fièvre et de la diarrhée. Des effets secondaires graves sont rares.
Interaction des médicaments
Paxil peut avoir une interaction avec les médicaments suivants: inhibiteurs de la MAO, antiarythmiques, inhibiteurs de de la recapture de la sérotonine-noradrénaline, neuroleptiques, antagonistes des récepteurs H2.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose omise dès que possible. S'il est presque l’heure de la prochaine prise, il suffit de sauter la dose omise et de revenir à votre horaire habituel.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez avoir pris une surdose du médicament, demandez une aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes de surdosage sont des douleurs thoraciques, des nausées, des battements cardiaques irréguliers, et une sensation de tête légère ou des évanouissements.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante entre 68-77 °F (20-25 °C) à l’abri de la lumière et de l'humidité. Conservez tous les médicaments hors de portée des enfants et des animaux.
