Remeron (Mirtazapine)
Informations générales
Remeron (mirtazapine) est un antidépresseur tétracyclique. Il affecte les neurotransmetteurs dans le cerveau qui peuvent devenir déséquilibrés et provoquer une dépression. On croit qu'il augmente l'activité de la noradrénaline et la sérotonine qui aident à améliorer l'humeur. Remeron est utilisé pour traiter un certain type de dépression, appelé le trouble dépressif majeur.
Posologie
Prenez Remeron conformément aux prescriptions de votre médecin. N’avalez pas le comprimé en entier. Laissez-le se dissoudre dans votre bouche sans le mâcher. Remeron est habituellement pris une fois par jour avant le coucher. La dose initiale recommandée est de 15 mg. Si nécessaire, votre médecin peut augmenter la dose jusqu'à 45 mg une fois par jour. Les changements dans la posologie ne devraient pas être faits aux intervalles de moins de 1 à 2 semaines.
Précautions
N’utilisez pas Remeron si vous venez de prendre des inhibiteurs de la MAO. Avertissez votre médecin si vous avez des saisies ou une maladie épileptique, hépatique ou rénale, la crise cardiaque, le trouble bipolaire, une pression artérielle basse. Avisez votre médecin si vous avez une aggravation de la dépression ou des pensées suicidaires au cours des premières semaines du traitement. La consommation d'alcool peut augmenter certains effets secondaires de Remeron. La mirtazapine peut nuire à votre pensée ou aux réactions. Soyez prudent si vous conduisez un véhicule ou faites tout ce qui vous oblige à être vigilant.
Contre-indications
Vous ne devriez pas prendre Remeron si vous êtes allergique à la mirtazapine ou si vous prenez également le tryptophane. Avertissez votre médecin si vous êtes enceinte ou allaitez.
Effets secondaires possibles
Obtenez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous avez des difficultés à respirer, des changements de l'humeur ou de comportement, l'urticaire, des troubles du sommeil, l’anxiété, des crises de panique, le gonflement de votre visage, des lèvres, de la langue, le rythme cardiaque rapide, des problèmes de mémoire, une faiblesse, des maux de tête. Les effets secondaires moins graves comprennent: le gain de poids, une somnolence, l’augmentation de l'appétit, des étourdissements.
Interaction des médicaments
Avisez votre médecin si vous utilisez: l’anticoagulant (warfarine), le tramadol, le conivaptan, la cimétidine, les antibiotiques (érythromycine, rifampicine), les antidépresseurs (citalopram, la désipramine, la néfazodone, sertraline), des médicaments contre les troubles cardiaques ou de la pression artérielle (nicardipine, quinidine), des médicaments contre la saisie (carbamazépine, phénytoïne), des médicaments contre le VIH / SIDA (delavirdine, l'indinavir), les médicaments antifongiques (kétoconazole, itraconazole). Consultez votre médecin ou votre pharmacien pour des informations supplémentaires.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez que vous avez une surdose du médicament, cherchez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Les symptômes de surdose sont le rythme cardiaque rapide, la confusion, une somnolence, des troubles de la mémoire.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante entre 68-77 degrés F (20-25 degrés C) à l’abri de la lumière et de l'humidité. Ne conservez pas les médicaments dans la salle de bain. Conservez tous les médicaments hors de portée des enfants et des animaux domestiques.
