Aralen è un farmaco antimalarico. Il farmaco agisce danneggiando il DNA del virus. E 'usato per trattare e per prevenire la malaria. Il farmaco è utilizzato anche nel trattamento delle infezioni causate da amebe.
Indicazioni
Assumere ogni dose con un bicchiere d'acqua durante il pasto. Il consumo del farmaco dipende dal tipo di infezione subita. Per il trattamento di malaria,la dose corretta per gli adulti è di 500 mg da prendere lo stesso giorno ogni settimana. Nei bambini la dose di base è di 10 mg per ogni kg di peso corporeo da dividere in 2 dosi con pausa tra una dose e l'altra di 6 ore. Per il trattamento di attacchi acuti, per gli adulti la dose raccomandata è di 1 g seguito da altri 500 mg dopo 6-8 ore e una dose di 500 mg su ciascuno dei due giorni cumulativi. Assumere Aralen esattamente come prescritto dal medico.
Precauzioni
Se si utilizza il farmaco per un lungo periodo, potrebbe causare problemi di sangue o astenia muscolare, visione offuscata o annebbiata. Prestare attenzione durante la guida o si stanno svolgendo altre attività pericolose e che richiedono attenzione. Chiamare il medico per un consiglio se i sintomi non migliorano.
Controindicazioni
Prima di iniziare il trattamento con Aralen informare il proprio medico se si è allergici ad uno qualsiasi dei suoi componenti,malattie renali o al fegato,glucosio-6-fosfato deidrogenasi, problemi del sistema nervoso, diabete o alcolismo cronico. Rivolgersi al proprio medico.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Interazioni farmacologiche
Aralen può interagire con ampicillina, antiacidi contenenti magnesio, cimetidina, ciclosporina o caolino. Non prendere qualsiasi farmaco di prescrizione o da banco, tra cui vitamine, minerali e prodotti a base di erbe, senza aver prima parlato con il medico.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose dimenticata non appena possibile. Saltare la dose, se è tempo per la dose successiva. Non prendere dosi extra per compensare le dosi dimenticate.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver assunto una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza. I sintomi da sovradosaggio possono includere: vertigini, conati di vomito, assenza di controllo, il sequestro, alterazioni della vista o coma. Fare attenzione a come la morta causata da assenza respiratoria può verificarsi circa 2 ore dopo l'assunzione.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 20-25 C (68-77 F). Conservare lontano da umidità e luce. Tenere fuori dalla portata di bambini ed animali domestici.
