Bactrim es un producto antibacteriano sintético. Bactrim se prescribe para el tratamiento de la neumonía y otras enfermedades del sistema respiratorio, gastrointestinal, urogenital causados por una infección bacteriana, que se desarrollan después de la cirugía y otros. Se compone de dos medicamentos sulfamethoxazole y trimethoprim. En conjunto, estos medicamentos son activos contra estreptococos, estafilococos, neumococos, bacilo de la disentería, fiebre tifoidea, la E. coli, Proteus, e ineficaz frente a Mycobacterium tuberculosis, espiroquetas, Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Instrucciones
Tómelo con un vaso grande de agua, 2-3 veces al día, con o sin comida. La dosis depende del tipo y gravedad de la infección, por lo que se recomienda tomar el medicamento como se lo indique su médico.
Precauciones
Antes de comenzar su tratamiento con Bactrim informe a su médico si usted tiene asma, trastornos del riñón o del hígado. Tenga cuidado de tomar el medicamento. Puede causar diarrea. Evite la luz del sol.
Contraindicaciones
Mujeres embarazadas y lactantes, los pacientes con alergia a Bactrim y los que tienen anemia por deficiencia de ácido fólico no pueden usar el medicamento.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Los efectos secundarios pueden ser los siguientes: urticaria, dificultad para respirar, hinchazón de la cara, labios, lengua o garganta, o más graves signos de mala salud como fiebre, dolor de garganta y dolor de cabeza con ampollas, piel pálida, moretones o sangrado , diarrea, alucinaciones acuosa o con sangre, ritmo cardíaco lento, pulso débil, náuseas, dolor de estómago, orinar menos de lo normal o nada en absoluto. Si usted experimenta alguno de los efectos secundarios mencionados anteriormente debe contactar con su médico.
Interacción con otros medicamentos
Hable con su médico sobre todos los medicamentos que puede utilizar antes de comenzar su tratamiento con Bactrim.Se pueden cambiar los efectos de los siguientes medicamentos: medicamentos antidiabéticos, diuréticos, ciclosporina, digoxina, vacunas, antidepresivos tricíclicos. Puede ser co-administrado con dofetilida o metenamina.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. Si es casi la hora de la nueva ingesta, omítala y vuelva a su horario.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica inmediatamente. Los síntomas de sobredosis son: mareos, somnolencia, náuseas, vómitos, pérdida de apetito, dolor de estómago, dolor de cabeza, coloración amarillenta de la piel o los ojos, sangre en la orina, sensación de desmayo.
Almacenamiento
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 59-77 grados F (15-25 grados C) lejos de la luz y la humedad, lejos del alcance de los niños y las mascotas.
