Instrucciones
Tome Copegus exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. Ribavirina no es efectiva cuando se utiliza solo para tratar la hepatitis C. Se debe utilizarla junto con un producto de interferón alfa (como Peg-Intron o Intron A) para el tratamiento de la hepatitis C crónica Tome este medicamento por vía oral, generalmente dos veces al día con los alimentos para 24 a 48 semanas. Trague este medicamento entero. La dosis diaria es de 800 mg a 1200 mg por vía oral en dos dosis divididas. La dosis recomendada para la hepatitis C en el VHC / VIH los pacientes coinfectados es de 800 mg al día durante un total de 48 semanas, independientemente del genotipo.
Precauciones
Antes de tomar Copegus debe hablar con su médico si usted tiene enfermedad renal o hepática, hepatitis B, enfermedad de la sangre de células, el cáncer, psoriasis, diabetes, sarcoidosis, enfermedad de la tiroides, virus de la hepatitis B o el virus de inmunodeficiencia humana (VIH o SIDA), el corazón la adicción a las enfermedades, la presión arterial alta, o un ataque al corazón, pancreatitis, diabetes, depresión o intento de suicidio, las drogas o el alcohol, el hígado o el trasplante de otros órganos. Contraindicaciones

Los posibles efectos secundarios
Obtenga ayuda médica de emergencia si usted tiene náusea, diarrea, malestar estomacal, heces con sangre, dolor de cabeza, mareos, visión borrosa, dificultad para dormir, fiebre, escalofríos, dolor de garganta, dolores musculares, tos, pérdida de cabello, poco apetito, pérdida o ganancia de peso, piel seca, y los cambios en el gusto o el oído, cansancio inusual, debilidad, latidos cardíacos rápidos o irregulares, dificultad para respirar, cambios mentales o del estado de ánimo, dolor en las articulaciones, orina oscura, coloración amarillenta de los ojos y erupción de la piel, hinchazón de la cara, lengua, garganta , picazón, dificultad para respirar, problemas para dormir (insomnio). Si usted nota otros efectos no mencionados anteriormente, consulte a su médico.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Dígale a su médico acerca de todas las medicinas que usted use, especialmente: antiácidos, medicamentos anti-VIH (lamivudina, estavudina, zidovudina), didanosina. La interacción entre los dos medicamentos no siempre significa que usted debe dejar de tomar uno de ellos. Dígale a su médico acerca de todos los medicamentos, de venta libre-, y los medicamentos a base de hierbas que está tomando.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son dolor en el pecho, sangrado, sensación de malestar general, sudoración, orinar menos de lo habitual, moretones, náuseas.
Almacenamiento
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 59-77 grados F (15-25 grados C) lejos de la luz y la humedad. No guarde los medicamentos en el cuarto de baño. Mantenga todos los medicamentos fuera del alcance de los niños y las mascotas.
