Arcoxia appartient à un groupe de médicaments appelés les inhibiteurs spécifiques de la cyclooxygénase-2 (COX-2). Il est utilisé aux fins suivantes: le traitement aigu et chronique des signes et des symptômes de l'ostéoarthrose et de l'arthrite rhumatoïde, de la gestion de la spondylarthrite ankylosante, l'allégement de la douleur musculo-squelettique chronique et aiguë. L'utilisation de ce médicament ne nuit pas au tractus gastro-intestinal.
Posologie
Précautions
Vous ne devez pas utiliser Arcoxia si vous êtes enceinte, si vous avez des allergies, des douleurs à la poitrine, le diabète, des maladies cardiaques, l'hypertension artérielle, une hypokaliémie ou des convulsions. Évitez de fumer. Ne prenez Arcoxia que s’il a été prescrit par votre médecin.
Contre-indications
Vous ne devez pas utiliser le médicament si vous êtes allergique à ses composants, si vous êtes enceinte ou allaitez; si vous souffrez d'asthme, d’angine, de la crise cardiaque ou d’une artère bloquée dans votre coeur, des maladies rénales ou hépatiques, des saignements gastro-intestinaux, de l'hyperkaliémie, de l'hypertension artérielle, de la maladie de Crohn.
Effets secondaires possibles
Obtenez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous avez un de ces signes: une réaction allergique, une asthénie, des troubles, les douleurs du corps, un écoeurement, l'hyperhidrose, la dépression ou des nausées.
Interaction des médicaments
Informez votre médecin de tous les médicaments que vous utilisez notamment de la warfarine, des inhibiteurs de l'enzyme de conversion de l'angiotensine, de l'acide acétylsalicylique et de la rifampicine. Si nécessaire cherchez de l'aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage

Conservation
