Informations générales
Zyloprim réduit la production d'acide urique de votre corps. Il est utilisé pour traiter les calculs rénaux ou la goutte, et de diminuer le taux d'acide urique chez les personnes qui reçoivent un traitement contre le cancer.
Posologie
Utilisez-le exactement comme il a été prescrit pour vous. Prenez chaque dose avec un verre plein d'eau, après le repas. La dose recommandée est de 200 à 300 mg par jour. La dose recommandée pour les enfants de 6 à 10 ans est de 300 mg par jour. Pour les enfants de moins de 6 ans, la dose recommandée est de 150 mg par jour. Votre médecin peut parfois changer votre dose pour optimiser les résultats du traitement.
Précautions
N’utilisez pas ce médicament si vous avez déjà eu des maladies des reins ou du foie ou si vous êtes enceinte. Evitez d’utiliser la vitamine C. Le médicament peut détériorer votre pensée ou les réactions. Soyez prudent si vous conduisez un véhicule ou faites tout ce qui vous oblige à être vigilant. Évitez de boire de l'alcool. Il peut aggraver votre situation.
Contre-indications
N’utilisez pas ce médicament si vous avez une réaction allergique grave à ce médicament.
Effets secondaires possibles
Le médicament peut provoquer des vertiges, un écoeurement, l'éruption, la miction moins fréquente que d'habitude ou son absence, des symptômes de grippe, le jaunissement de la peau ou des yeux, des maux de tête, des nausées, une jaunisse et une réaction allergique (urticaire, gonflement du visage, des lèvres, de la langue, une difficulté à respirer), des vomissements, une diarrhée. Consultez votre médecin pour un avis médical sur les effets secondaires.
Interaction des médicaments
Le médicament peut interagir avec azathioprine, chlorpropamide, cyclosporine, mercaptopurine, les antibiotiques (ampicilline ou l'amoxicilline), dicoumarol, warfarine et diurétique. Informez votre médecin de tous les médicaments que vous utilisez. Ne commencez pas à prendre un nouveau médicament sans en parler à votre médecin.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Cherchez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous pensez que vous avez pris trop de médicament. Les symptômes du surdosage sont inconnus.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à température ambiante entre 59-77 degrés F (15-25 degrés C). Conservez-le à l'écart de l'humidité et de la lumière. Gardez-le hors de portée des enfants et loin des animaux domestiques.
