Singulair (Montelukast)
Información general

Instrucciones
Use Singulair exactamente como se lo indique su médico para obtener mejores resultados. No triture, mastique, o rompa la tableta. Use esta medicina con un vaso lleno de agua. La dosis de Singulair para los adultos y adolescentes de 15 años es de 10 mg al día. Para niños de 6 a 14 años de edad, la dosis es de 5 mg una vez al día. Para niños de 2 a 5 años de edad, la dosis recomendada de Singulair es de 4 mg una vez al día. Para niños de 6-23 meses de edad, la dosis recomendada es de un paquete de SINGULAIR en gránulos orales (4 mg) una vez al día.
Precauciones
No utilice Singulair para tratar un ataque de asma. No se recomienda tomar el medicamento si está embarazada o amamantando, en niños menores de 6 años.
Contraindicaciones
Los pacientes que tienen alergia a cualquier componente de este medicamento no pueden usar Singulair.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
La droga puede causar urticaria, dolor de cabeza, hinchazón de la cara, labios, lengua, entumecimiento, temblores, cambios de humor o comportamiento, depresión, malestar estomacal, diarrea. Si usted experimenta alguno de los efectos secundarios mencionados anteriormente debe dejar de tomar Singulair y consulte con su médico de inmediato.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Singulair puede interactuar con: nitroprusiato, nitratos, cisaprida, sildenafil, fármacos para la presión arterial, el VIH y el SIDA, la medicina, fluconazol, itraconazol, ketoconazol. Recuerde que las interacciones con uno de estos medicamentos no quieren decir que usted necesita dejar de utilizar algunos de ellos.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina, debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son dolor de estómago, la sed, la contracción muscular.
Almacenamiento
