Prednisone è un farmaco appartenente al gruppo dei corticosteroidi. È prescritto per il trattamento di disturbi come l'asma, le allergie e l'artrite reumatoidea, sclerosi multipla e malattie della pelle. Prednisone inizia il suo effetto, riducendo l'infiammazione. Un sistema immunitario iperattivo è soppresso da questo farmaco.
Indicazioni
La dose raccomandata può variare da 5 a 60 mg al giorno. Deve essere assunto a stomaco pieno.
Precauzioni
Controindicazioni
Non possono assumere questo farmaco pazienti con tubercolosi, infezioni fungine, varicella, allattamento, amebiasi, infezioni resistenti agli antibiotici e ipersensibilità al Prednisone.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Gli effetti collaterali possono includere problemi di visione, gonfiore, aumento di peso rapido, problemi nella respirazione, depressione, comportamenti insoliti o preoccupazioni, feci sanguinolente o catramose, tosse con sangue, pancreatite, basso livello di potassio, pressione pericolosamente alta, problemi di sonno, acne, nausea, mal di stomaco dolore, gonfiore. Se si verifica uno degli effetti indesiderati sopra elencati si prega di contattare il medico.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Prednisone può interagire con farmaci come l'aspirina, diuretici, anticoagulanti come il warfarin, ciclosporina, insulina, farmaci per il diabete, ketoconazolo, rifampicina, fenitoina, fenobarbital.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose saltata non appena possibile. Se è quasi tempo di prendere la dose successiva saltarla e ritornare al vostro programma.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver consumato una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza. I sintomi di sovradosaggio sono:assottigliamento della pelle, ecchimosi, cambiamenti nella forma o nella posizione del grasso corporeo, aumento della peluria o acne del viso, problemi mestruali, impotenza, o perdita di interesse per il sesso.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 59-77 gradi F (15-25 gradi C) lontano dalla luce e dall'umidità, bambini e animali domestici. Non utilizzare dopo termine di scadenza.
