Lasix es un diurético de asa utilizado para tratar la presión arterial alta o la retención de líquidos (hinchazón) asociada con la insuficiencia cardíaca congestiva, enfermedad hepática, o enfermedad renal. El medicamento evita que su cuerpo absorba demasiada sal. Como resultado de ello, se permite que la sal pase con la orina.
Instrucciones
Se recomienda tomar de acuerdo con las instrucciones del médico.
Precauciones
Antes de comenzar su tratamiento con Lasix por favor informe a su médico si usted tiene enfermedad renal, enfermedad hepática, gota, lupus, diabetes, o una alergia a las sulfamidas. No se recomienda tomar el medicamento si está embarazada o amamantando.
Contraindicaciones
Los pacientes con las siguientes condiciones no pueden usar Lasix: hipersensibilidad, insuficiencia hepática severa, insuficiencia renal aguda con anuria, coma hepático y precoma, stenois de la uretra, glomerulonefritis aguda, obstrucción del tracto urinario, precoma, coma hiperglucémico, gota, hipotensión arterial, infarto de miocardio, pancreatitis, entre otros.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Si usted experimenta alguno de los siguientes efectos secundarios, necesita inmediata ayuda médica: boca seca, sed, náuseas, vómitos, latidos cardíacos rápidos o irregulares, dolor muscular, debilidad, somnolencia, inquietud, o mareo, menos habitual que la micción o la ausencia de orina, fácil aparición de moretones o sangrado, erupción cutánea de color rojo con ampollas, pérdida de cabello.
Interacción con otros medicamentos
Lasix puede interactuar con los siguientes medicamentos: antibióticos aminoglucósidos (gentamicina y otros) o Edecrin, otros diuréticos, aspirina sucralfato (Carafate).
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. Si es casi la hora de la nueva ingesta, omítala y vuelva a su horario.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son pérdida de apetito, zumbido en los oídos, debilidad, mareos, confusión, mareo o desmayo.
Conservación
Guarde el medicamento alejado de los niños a temperatura ambiente en un lugar seco y oscuro.
