Microzide (Hydrochlorothiazide)
Información general

Instrucciones
Tome Microzide exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. La dosis inicial para adultos es de una cápsula una vez al día si se administra sola o en combinación con otros antihipertensivos. Las dosis diarias totales superiores a 50 mg no se recomiendan. Su médico puede en ocasiones cambiar su dosis para asegurarse de obtener los mejores resultados de esta medicina. Su sangre y orina pueden ser examinadas si ha estado vomitando o está deshidratado.
Precauciones
Antes de tomar Microzide usted debe hablar con su médico si usted tiene enfermedad del hígado o del riñón, asma o alergias, la gota, diabetes, o si usted es alérgico a las sulfamidas. Evite beber alcohol, que puede aumentar algunos de los efectos secundarios de hydrochlorothiazide. Evite el uso de otras medicinas que se puede desmayar. Evite sobrecalentarse o deshidratarse cuando haga ejercicio y en clima caluroso.
Contraindicaciones
No utilice Microzide si usted tiene diabetes, hipoglucemia, enfermedad renal, si usted es alérgico a hydrochlorothiazide o si no puede orinar. Dígale a su médico si está embarazada o amamantando.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Obtenga ayuda médica de emergencia si usted tiene dolor de estómago, hinchazón abdominal, visión borrosa, orina con sangre, dolor de pecho, confusión, tos, alquitranadas, diarrea, boca seca, fiebre, dolor de cabeza, urticaria, náuseas, pérdida del apetito, aumento de la presión arterial, vómitos , calambres musculares, piel pálida, enrojecimiento, temblores, pérdida de peso inusual, ojos o piel amarillentos, hinchazón de la cara, dolor de garganta, dificultad para respirar. Si usted nota otros efectos no mencionados anteriormente, consulte a su médico.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Dígale a su médico acerca de todas las medicinas que usted use, especialmente: Acetyldigoxin, Digitalis, flecainida, litio, Sotalol, ouabaína, Deslanoside, ketanserina, Captopril, clorpropamida, Aceclofenaco, Apazone, ibuprofeno, espirapril, Ticrinafeno, zomepirac, tolmetina. La interacción entre los dos medicamentos no siempre significa que usted debe dejar de tomar uno de ellos. Dígale a su médico o recetas sobre todos los medicamentos, de venta libre-, y los medicamentos a base de hierbas que está tomando.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son náuseas, debilidad, mareos, boca seca, sed, y dolor muscular o debilidad.
Almacenamiento
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 59-77 grados F (15-25 grados C) lejos de la luz y la humedad. Guárdelo en un recipiente hermético.
