Instrucciones
Tome Minipress exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. Tome este medicamento por vía oral con o sin alimentos, generalmente dos o tres veces al día. Si le produce malestar estomacal, tómelo con alimentos o leche. Tómelo a la misma hora cada día. Tome cada dosis con un vaso lleno de agua. La dosis inicial es de 1 mg dos o tres veces al día. Su dosis puede ser aumentado lentamente a la dosis máxima de 20 mg administrados en dosis divididas.
Precauciones
Antes de tomar Minipress usted debe hablar con su médico si usted tiene problemas del corazón (presión arterial baja), enfermedad renal, ataques incontrolables de sueño profundo (narcolepsia), cáncer de próstata. Este medicamento puede causar mareos, somnolencia o visión borrosa. No conduzca o realice tareas que requieran estar alerta. Evite levantarse muy rápido de la posición de sentado o echado, ya que puede sentirse mareado. Limite el consumo de las bebidas alcohólicas. El alcohol puede aumentar algunos de los efectos secundarios.
Contraindicaciones
Usted no debe usar Minipress si usted es alérgico a la prazosina. Dígale a su médico si está embarazada o dando de lactar.
Posibles efectos secundarios
Busque atención médica de emergencia si usted tiene dolor de cabeza, somnolencia, cansancio, debilidad, visión borrosa, náuseas, vómitos, diarrea, estreñimiento, palpitaciones, desmayos, ganas frecuentes de orinar, cambios mentales o del humor, picazón, hinchazón de la cara, lengua, garganta, mareos intensos, dificultad para respirar, congestión nasal, sequedad de boca, erección del pene que es dolorosa o dura 4 horas o más. Si usted nota otros efectos no mencionados anteriormente, póngase en contacto con su médico.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Dígale a su médico acerca de todas las medicinas que usted use, especialmente: digoxina, medicamentos para la gota (colchicina, alopurinol, probenecid), medicamentos para problemas de erección en hombres (tadalafilo, vardenafilo, sildenafilo), medicamentos para el ritmo cardíaco (quinidina, flecainida, amiodarona), la presión arterial medicamentos, diuréticos (furosemida, torasemida, bumetanida), fármacos anti-inflamatorios sin esteroides (celecoxib, etodolac, diclofenaco, ibuprofeno, indometacina), insulina, sedantes (midazolam, triazolam, midazolam). La interacción entre dos medicaciones no siempre significa que usted debe dejar de tomar uno de ellos. Dígale a su médico sobre todos los medicamentos, sin receta médica, y los medicamentos a base de hierbas que esté tomando.
Dosis omitida
Tome la dosis que olvidó tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que ha tomado mucho de la medicina busque ayuda médica de emergencia a la vez. Los síntomas de sobredosis son somnolencia, reacciones lentas, sensación de desmayo.
Almacenaje
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 59-86 grados F (15-30 grados C) lejos de la luz y la humedad. No guarde los medicamentos en el cuarto de baño. Mantenga todos los medicamentos fuera del alcance de los niños y las mascotas.
