También se utiliza para tratar o prevenir un ataque al corazón, dolor de cabeza de migraña y algunos tipos de temblores.
Instrucciones
Tome exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. Usted debe tomar con una comida en la misma hora cada día. Usted no debe dejar de tomar Toprol sin antes haberlo consultado con su médico. La dosis diaria máxima recomendada de Topol es 400 mg. Su médico puede aumentar o disminuir la dosis según sea necesario.
Precauciones
Dígale a su médico sobre todos los medicamentos que esté tomando, incluyendo medicamentos recetados y sin receta, antiácidos, vitaminas y suplementos herbales. Si usted va a una operación, el cirujano sepa que usted está tomando Toprol. Beber alcohol puede aumentar ciertos efectos secundarios de Toprol.
Contraindicaciones
No use esta medicina si usted es alérgico a ella, si usted tiene enfermedad cardíaca, enfermedad renal, diabetes. Informe a su médico si está embarazada o tratando de quedar embarazada o está amamantando.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Los efectos secundarios más frecuentes fueron: fatiga, diarrea, ritmo cardíaco lento. Otros efectos secundarios comunes: falta de aire, sequedad de boca, urticaria, picazón, náuseas, dolor en el pecho, sensación de desmayo. Obtenga ayuda médica de emergencia si usted tiene cualquiera de estos efectos secundarios.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Toprol puede interactuar con: alfa-bloqueantes (alfuzosina, doxazosina, fentolamina, etc), los bloqueadores de los canales del calcio (verapamilo, nifedipino, felodipino, etc) que puede causar una presión arterial peligrosamente baja, los antidepresivos (citalopram, fluoxetina, tranilcipromina, etc ), medicamentos para la arritmia (lidocaína, disopiramida, quinidina), fármacos antiinflamatorios no esteroideos (AINE): El ibuprofeno, meloxicam, diclofenaco. Los AINE pueden disminuir efectos de Toprol.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son náuseas, vómitos, baja presión arterial, hipoglucemia, alteraciones del ritmo cardíaco.
Almacenamiento
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 59-86 grados F (15-30 grados C) lejos de la luz y la humedad. Guárdelo en un recipiente hermético.
