Cytoxan también se utiliza para tratar ciertos problemas renales (síndrome nefrótico) en niños.
Instrucciones
Precauciones
Antes de tomar Cytoxan debe hablar con su médico si usted tiene niveles bajos de glóbulos blancos en la sangre (neutropenia) o de plaquetas (trombocitopenia), la radiación o la quimioterapia anterior tratamiento, la infección alguna, la enfermedad cardíaca, enfermedad renal, insuficiencia renal, hepática falta la enfermedad, el hígado, la cirrosis, algún tipo de alergia. Evite el contacto con personas que tienen resfriados, gripe u otras enfermedades contagiosas. Lávese bien las manos para prevenir la propagación de infecciones. No reciba inmunizaciones o vacunas.
Contraindicaciones
Usted no debe tomar Cytoxan si usted es alérgico a ciclofosfamida, o cualquiera de los componentes inactivos de este medicamento, si está embarazada o amamantando o si usted tiene depresión severa de la médula ósea (disminución de la capacidad de la médula ósea a producir células sanguíneas).
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Obtenga ayuda médica de emergencia si usted tiene fiebre, dolor de garganta, escalofríos, sangre en la orina, náuseas, heces de color negro o alquitranadas, vómito, micción dolorosa o difícil, dolor de pecho, ictericia (coloración amarillenta de la piel o los ojos), erupción cutánea, temporal del cabello pérdida, dificultad para respirar, cambios en la función de la médula ósea, sangrado inusual, disminución del apetito, dolor abdominal, cambios en el color de la piel, hinchazón de los labios, lengua, o cara, urticaria. Si usted nota otros efectos no mencionados anteriormente, consulte a su médico.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Dígale a su médico acerca de todas las medicinas que usted use, especialmente: diuréticos de tiazida (clorotiazida, hidroclorotiazida, metolazona, indapamida), anticoagulantes (warfarina), digoxina, medicamentos de quimioterapia con antraciclinas (idarrubicina valrubicina, epirubicina), anticonvulsivos (fosfenitoína, carbamazepina, fenitoína, pentobarbital, fenobarbital), rifamicina antibióticos (rifampicina, rifapentina, rifabutina). La interacción entre los dos medicamentos no siempre significa que usted debe dejar de tomar uno de ellos. Dígale a su médico acerca de todos los medicamentos, de venta libre, y los medicamentos a base de hierbas que está tomando.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son disminución de la función de la médula ósea, infección y problemas del corazón.
Almacenaje
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 68-77 grados F (20-25 grados C) lejos de la luz, el calor y la humedad. No guarde los medicamentos en el cuarto de baño. Mantenga todos los medicamentos fuera del alcance de los niños y las mascotas.
