Plavix es un medicamento, recetado para disminuir el riesgo de ataques cardíacos y accidentes cerebrovasculares causados por coágulos de sangre que se incrementan en pacientes con una historia reciente de accidente cerebrovascular, ataque del corazón y enfermedad vascular periférica, para evitar trastornos isquémicos como el infarto de miocardio, ictus, la trombosis de las arterias periféricas y otros. Este medicamento inhibe la agregación de las plaquetas (coagulación) y dilata los vasos coronarios.
Instrucciones
Este medicamento debe ser tomado con o sin alimentos una vez al día.
Precauciones
No use este medicamento con una aspirina o algún AINE (antiinflamatorios no esteroides) o con anticoagulantes. Por lo tanto, usted debe hablar con su médico sobre las precauciones y advertencias que pueden aparecier, como sangre en las heces, vómitos o tos de sangre.
Contraindicaciones
El uso de Plavix está contraindicado en las siguientes condiciones:hipersensibilidad, insuficiencia hepática grave, hemorragia aguda, úlcera de estómago o duodeno, colitis ulcerosa, la tuberculosis y otras enfermedades que predisponen a la hemorragia, embarazo, lactancia,período neonatal.
Efectos secundarios
Sangrado en el estómago o intestinos, accidente cerebrovascular hemorrágico, neuropenia, trombocitopenia, dolor abdominal, dispepsia, gastritis, estreñimiento, úlceras en el tracto gastrointestinal, diarrea,alergias.
Interacción con otros medicamentos
No tome Plavix con antiinflamatorios no esteroideos-inflamatorios no esteroides, ya que puede causar un sangrado excesivo.
Dosis olvidada
Es importante tomar este medicamento exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. Si es casi la hora de la nueva ingesta, omítala y vuelva a su horario.No tome una dosis doble.
Sobredosis
Los síntomas de una sobredosis son: vómitos, sensación de agotamientoo falta de aliento, y las muestras de sangre en las heces o vómito, diarrea,fiebre, prurito. En el caso de la manifestación grave de estas reacciones adversas llame a su médico de inmediato.
Almacenamiento
Guarde este medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 15-30 C (59-86F).
