Lipitor (Atorvastatin)
Informations générales
Lipitor est prescrit pour le traitement de l'hypercholestérolémie. Il diminue le risque de crise cardiaque (AVC) chez les patients présentant une maladie coronarienne ou un diabète de type deux. Son composant principal qui est l’Atorvastatine aide à évacuer du sang le cholestérol des lipoprotéines de faible densité.
Posologie
Il est recommandé de prendre le médicament suivant la prescription de votre médecin. Prenez-le avec un verre d'eau. La dose recommandée pour les adultes et les enfants de plus de 10 ans est de 10 mg par jour.
Précautions
Avant de commencer votre traitement au Lipitor, veuillez informer votre médecin si vous souffrez de diabète, d’insuffisance des glandes thyroïdes, d’une maladie rénale ou musculaire.
Contre-indications
Les patients souffrant de troubles du foie, des anomalies des tests hépatiques, les patients qui utilisent des inhibiteurs de protéases, l’itraconazole, ou le mibéfradil, les patients présentant une hypersensibilité au médicament et les femmes enceintes et celles en période d’allaitement ne devraient pas utiliser le médicament.
Effets secondaires possibles
Les effets secondaires peuvent être les suivants: des réactions allergiques, des douleurs musculaires, une sensibilité ou une faiblesse musculaire avec de la fièvre ou des symptômes grippaux, des nausées, des selles de couleur argile, des douleurs abdominales, de la fièvre, la jaunisse, une perte d'appétit, des urines foncées, la constipation, des ballonnements, des gaz , le nez bouché, des démangeaisons, des éruptions cutanées, des maux de tête. Si vous ressentez l’un des effets secondaires énumérés ci-dessus, contactez votre médecin immédiatement.
Interaction des médicaments
Lipitor peut avoir une interaction avec les médicaments suivants: la digoxine; l’érythromycine ou la clarithromycine; le gemfibrozil ou le fénofibrate; la niacine; les médicaments antifongiques tels que l'itraconazole, le fluconazole, le kétoconazole ou des médicaments de traitement du cancer ou des stéroïdes, la ciclosporine, le sirolimus, le tacrolimus, et autres; des médicaments de traitement du VIH ou du SIDA tels que l'indinavir, le nelfinavir, le ritonavir, le lopinavir-ritonavir, ou le saquinavir.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose omise dès que possible. S'il est presque l’heure de la prochaine prise, il suffit de sauter la dose omise et de revenir à votre horaire habituel.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez avoir pris une sur dose du médicament, demandez une aide médicale d'urgence immediatement. Les symptômes de surdosage sont une baisse grave de la pression artérielle et une accélération du rythme cardiaque.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante entre 59-77 °F (15-25 °C) à l’abri de la lumière et de l'humidité, hors de portée des enfants et des animaux domestiques.
