The pills actually have the same effects as the brand name ones but at a fraction of the cost. My husband had been struggling in bed but was afraid to do anything about it so as not to upset me. Lipitor (Atorvastatin)
Información general
Lipitor es prescrito para el tratamiento del colesterol alto. Disminuye el riesgo de apoplejía, ataque cardíaco en pacientes con enfermedad coronaria o segundo tipo de diabetes. Atorvastatina, su ingrediente principal, ayuda a limpiar el colesterol de la sangre de lipoproteínas de baja densidad.
Instrucciones
Se recomienda que tome el medicamento como se lo indique su médico. Tómelo con un vaso de agua. La dosis recomendada para adultos y niños mayores del 10 años de edad es de 10 mg por día.
Precauciones
Antes de comenzar el tratamiento con Lipitor informa a su médico si usted tiene diabetes, las glándulas tiroides de baja actividad, enfermedad renal o enfermedad muscular. Evite utilizar grandes cantidades de alcohol. Si usted está embarazada o en periodo de lactancia, sin consultar con el médico.
Contraindicaciones
Los pacientes con problemas hepáticos, alteraciones de las pruebas de función hepática, pacientes que estan tomando inhibidores de la proteasa, el itraconazol o mibefradil, los pacientes con hipersensibilidad al medicamento, mujeres embarazadas y en período de lactancia no pueden usar el medicamento.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Los efectos secundarios pueden ser los siguientes: reacciones alérgicas, dolor muscular, sensibilidad o debilidad con fiebre o síntomas de la gripe, náuseas, pérdida de heces de color arcilla, dolor de estómago, fiebre baja, ictericia, pérdida de apetito, orina oscura, estreñimiento, hinchazón, gases , congestión nasal, picor, erupción cutánea, dolor de cabeza. Interacción con otros medicamentos
Lipitor puede interactuar con los siguientes medicamentos: digoxina, eritromicina o claritromicina, gemfibrozilo o fenofibrato, niacina, un medicamento antimicótico, como el itraconazol, fluconazol o ketoconazol, medicamento para el cáncer o esteroides, ciclosporina, sirolimus, tacrolimus, y otros, el VIH o medicamentos contra el sidatales como indinavir, nelfinavir, ritonavir, lopinavir con ritonavir, saquinavir o. Consulte con su médico y tenga en cuenta que la interacción entre los dos medicamentos no significa que es necesario dejar de tomar uno de ellos.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. Si es casi la hora de la nueva ingesta, omítala y vuelva a su horario.
Sobredosis
