Funciona mediante el aumento de la sustancia natural (enzima) que descompone las grasas en la sangre. La reducción de colesterol "malo" y triglicéridos y aumentar el colesterol "bueno" disminuyendo el riesgo de enfermedades del corazón y ayudando a prevenir derrames cerebrales y ataques al corazón. Reducción de los triglicéridos en personas con niveles muy altos de triglicéridos también puede disminuir el riesgo de enfermedad del páncreas (pancreatitis).
Instrucciones
Tome Tricor exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. Tome este medicamento por vía oral, generalmente una vez al día. Tome cada dosis con un vaso lleno de agua. Se puede tomarlo con o sin comida. Si usted también está tomando otros fármacos para bajar el colesterol, tome Tricor al menos 1 hora antes o dos horas por lo menos 4-6 después de tomar estos medicamentos. Es importante seguir tomando este medicamento aunque se sienta bien.
Precauciones
Contraindicaciones
Usted no debe tomar Tricor si usted es alérgico a ella, el fenofibrato, o cualquiera de los componentes inactivos de la droga, o si usted tiene enfermedad hepática grave o anormal de las enzimas de alta del hígado, enfermedad renal grave, pre-existentes enfermedad de la vesícula o cálculos biliares. Informe a su médico si está embarazada o amamantando.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Obtenga ayuda médica de emergencia si usted tiene dolor estomacal o dolor abdominal, vómito persistente, náuseas, ojos o piel amarillentos, orina oscura, dolor muscular, dolor, debilidad, sangrado fácil, fiebre, dolor de garganta, cansancio inusual, dolor en el pecho, hinchazón de los brazos o las piernas, erupción cutánea, picor, hinchazón de la cara, lengua, garganta), mareos intensos, dificultad para respirar. Si usted nota otros efectos no mencionados anteriormente, consulte a su médico.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos
Dígale a su médico acerca de todas las medicinas que usted use, especialmente: medicamentos reductores del colesterol (fluvastatina, cerivastatina, simvastatina, lovastatina), ciclosporina, anticoagulantes (warfarina), secuestrantes de ácidos biliares (colestipol, colesevelam, colestiramina). La interacción entre los dos medicamentos no siempre significa que usted debe dejar de tomar uno de ellos. Dígale a su médico sobre todos los medicamentos, de venta libre-, y los medicamentos a base de hierbas que está tomando.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Los síntomas de sobredosis son desconocidos. Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato.
Almacenamiento
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 59-77 grados F (15-25 grados C) lejos de la luz y la humedad. No guarde los medicamentos en el cuarto de baño. Mantenga todos los medicamentos fuera del alcance de los niños y las mascotas.
