O que devo dizer ao meu médico antes de tomar este medicamento?
Ele precisa de saber se tem alguma destas condições:
- consome frequentemente bebidas alcoólicas
- doença renal
- doença hepática
- dores musculares ou fraqueza
- outra condição médica
- reacção alérgica à sinvastatina, outros medicamentos, alimentos, corantes ou conservantes
- está grávida ou pensa engravidar
- está a amamentar
Como devo tomar este medicamento?
Tome este medicamento por via oral com um copo de água. Pode tomar este medicamento com ou sem alimentos. Tome as doses em intervalos regulares. Não tome o medicamento mais do que indicado.
Fale com o seu pediatra se tenciona utilizar estes medicamentos em crianças. Cuidados especiais podem ser necessários.
Sobredosagem: Se pensa que poderá ter tomado uma dose superior ao prescrito contacte o Centro de Informação Antivenenos ou os Serviços de Urgência de imediato.

Que fazer se falhei uma toma?
Se esquecer uma dose, tome-a o mais cedo possível. Se estiver quase na hora de tomar a próxima dose, tome apenas essa. Não tome doses duplas ou extras.
O que pode interferir com este medicamento?
Não tome este medicamento com nenhum dos seguintes:
- medicamentos para infecções fúngicas como o itraconazol, cetoconazol
- nefazodona
- outros medicamentos para o colesterol elevado
- levedura de arroz vermelho
- alguns antibióticos como claritromicina, eritromicina, telitromicina
- alguns medicamentos para a infecção pelo HIV como amprenavir, indinavir, ritonavir
Este medicamento pode também interagir com os seguintes:
- álcool
- amiodarona
- ciclosporina
- danazol
- diltiazem
- sumo de toranja
- fluconazol
- verapamilo
- voriconazol
- varfarina

- dificuldade para urinar ou mudança na quantidade de urina
- invulgarmente fraco ou cansado
- amarelecimento dos olhos ou pele
