Le médicament est parfois utilisé en association avec l'insuline ou d'autres médicaments tels que le glipizide, le glyburide, le chlorhydrate de metformine.
Posologie
Prenez Actos exactement comme prescrit par votre médecin. Suivez les instructions sur l’étiquette de votre prescription. Votre médecin peut parfois changer la dose pour optimiser les résultats du traitement. Le médicament est généralement pris à la même heure une fois par jour. Vous pouvez prendre Actos avec ou sans nourriture. Vous devriez contrôler souvent votre taux de sucre dans le sang. Visitez votre médecin régulièrement.
Précautions
Vous ne devez pas utiliser Actos si vous êtes allergique à la pioglitazone, si vous avez une insuffisance cardiaque grave, si vous avez le cancer de la vessie ou si vous êtes dans un état d'acidocétose diabétique. Consultez votre médecin au sujet du traitement avec ce médicament et aussi informez-le si vous êtes enceinte ou prévoyez devenir enceinte pendant l'utilisation d'Actos.
Effets secondaires possibles
Ce médicament peut provoquer des effets secondaires tels que la transpiration, un désarroi, des vertiges, une faiblesse, des tremblements, la famine.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez que vous avez une surdose du médicament cherchez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement. Une surdose peut provoquer des symptômes du diabète, une faiblesse, une vision trouble, le désarroi, une difficulté à parler, des tremblements, des maux d'estomac et des convulsions.
Interactions des médicaments
Informez votre médecin de tous les médicaments que vous prenez notamment des médicaments hypoglycémiques ou des produits naturels. N’utilisez pas des contraceptifs qui peuvent entraîner une grossesse.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à température ambiante dans un emballage étanche. Conservez-le à l'écart de l'humidité et de la lumière.
