Este medicamento ayuda a su páncreas a producir insulina. Glucotrol se usa junto con dieta y ejercicio para tratar la diabetes tipo 2 (no dependiente de insulina).
Instrucciones
Tome Glucotrol exactamente según lo prescrito por su médico. La dosis inicial recomendada es de 5 mg. Los pacientes geriátricos o con enfermedades del hígado pueden comenzar con 2,5 mg. La dosis máxima recomendada diaria total es de 40 mg. Tome Glucotrol 30 minutos antes de una comida. Si usted toma una vez al día Glucotrol, tómelo 30 minutos antes del desayuno. Tráguelo entero. Rompes la pastilla puede causar que mucha la droga se publicará al mismo tiempo. Su médico puede en ocasiones cambiar su dosis para asegurarse de obtener los mejores resultados. Precauciones

Contraindicaciones
No utilice Glucotrol si usted es alérgico a la glipizida, o si usted está en un estado de cetoacidosis diabética. Dígale a su médico si está embarazada o amamantando.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Obtenga ayuda médica de emergencia si usted tiene sangrado, ritmo cardíaco rápido, piel pálida, dificultad para respirar, náuseas, urticaria, náuseas, vómitos, pérdida del apetito, orina oscura. Efectos secundarios de menor gravedad pueden incluir: mareos, picor, enrojecimiento, diarrea.
Interacciones con otros medicamentos

Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. No tome la dosis olvidada si es la hora para su próxima dosis. No tome más medicina para alcanzar la dosis pasada.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son visión borrosa, convulsiones, debilidad extrema, dolor de estómago, dificultad para hablar, temblores, sudoración.
Almacenamiento
