Revatio (Sildenafil Citrate)

Il farmaco Revatio è prescritto per il trattamento dell'ipertensione polmonare. Sintomi di ipertensione polmonare sono: un aumento della pressione sanguigna nell'arteria polmonare, nella vena polmonare o nei capillari polmonari e nel sistema vascolare polmonare, con conseguente mancanza di respiro, vertigini e svenimenti. Revatio lavora provocando il rilassamento dei vasi sanguigni. Di conseguenza una quantità maggiore di sangue e ossigeno possono essere trasferiti per ridurre la pressione arteriosa polmonare. Il suo ingrediente principale è Sildenafil. Revatio può essere utilizzato anche per il trattamento della disfunzione erettile negli uomini.
Indicazioni
Si consiglia di prendere il farmaco nelle modalità con cui è stato prescritto dal medico. La dose raccomandata è di 20 mg tre volte al giorno.
Precauzioni
Prima di iniziare il trattamento con Revatio è opportuno discutere con il proprio medico di eventuali condizioni che si possono avere tra cui :attacchi di cuore,ictus, battito cardiaco irregolare o dolore al petto, pressione sanguigna alta o bassa, disturbi vascolari, problemi di circolazione sanguigna, retinite pigmentosa, problemi del fegato o dei reni,deformazione del pene, anemia falciforme , porfiria o cancro delle cellule del sangue o del midollo osseo, ulcere allo stomaco o sanguinamento dello stomaco.
Controindicazioni
I bambini e i pazienti con ipersensibilità a Revatio o i pazienti che assumono nitrati organici non possono utilizzare il farmaco.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Gli effetti collaterali che si manifestano più frequentemente possono essere i seguenti: febbre,rossore, cefalea, dolori muscolari, infezioni nasali, sangue dal naso, respiro corto, insonnia, sinusite, mal di stomaco. Se si verifica uno qualsiasi degli effetti indesiderati sopra elencati contattare il proprio medico.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Revatio può interagire con i seguenti farmaci: farmaci Sildenafil, nitrati organici, antifungini. Si informi il medico di tutte le medicine che si possono usare quando si fa uso di Revatio come barbiturici, alfa-bloccanti, e gli antagonisti della vitamina K.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose saltata non appena possibile. Se è quasi tempo di prendere la dose successiva saltarla e ritornare al vostro programma.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver consumato una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 15-30 C (59-86 F) lontano dalla portata di bambini ed animali e lontano dall' umidità e dalla luce solare.
