Revatio (Sildenafil Citrate)
Informations générales
Revatio est prescrit pour le traitement de l'hypertension pulmonaire. Les symptômes de l'hypertension artérielle pulmonaire sont l’augmentation de la pression sanguine dans les artères pulmonaires, les veine pulmonaires, ou les capillaires pulmonaires, les vaisseaux pulmonaires, conduisant à un essoufflement, de l’obnubilation, des évanouissements. Le médicament agit sur la relaxation des vaisseaux sanguins. Le résultat se traduit par un plus grand flux de sang et d'oxygène, ce qui fait réduire la pression artérielle pulmonaire. Son composant principal est le sildénafil. Revatio peut être également utilisé pour le traitement de la dysfonction de l’érection chez les hommes.
Posologie
Il est recommandé de prendre le médicament suivant la prescription de votre médecin. La dose recommandée est de 20 mg trois fois par jour.
Précautions
Avant de commencer votre traitement au Revatio, veuillez informer votre médecin de tous vos états de santé: crise cardiaque, accident vasculaire cérébral, battements cardiaques irréguliers, ou douleurs thoraciques, pression artérielle élevée ou faible, troubles des vaisseaux sanguins, troubles de circulation sanguine, rétinite pigmentaire, insuffisance du foie ou du rein, déformation du pénis, anémie falciforme, porphyrie ou cancer des cellules du sang ou de la moelle osseuse, ulcères de l'estomac ou des saignements de l'estomac.
Contre-indications
Les enfants et les patients présentant une hypersensibilité au Revatio ou les patients qui prenant des nitrates organiques ne doivent pas utiliser le médicament.
Effets secondaires possibles
Les effets secondaires peuvent être les suivants: de la fièvre, des bouffées de chaleur, des céphalées, des douleurs musculaires, une infection nasale, des saignements de nez, un essoufflement, de l’insomnie, une infection des sinus, des maux d'estomac. Si vous ressentez l’un des effets secondaires énumérés ci-dessus, contactez votre médecin.
Interaction des médicaments
Revatio peut avoir une interaction avec les médicaments suivants: médicaments à base de sildénafil, nitrates organiques, antifongiques. Avisez votre médecin de tous les médicaments que vous utiliseriez, tels que les barbituriques, les alpha-bloquants, les antagonistes de la vitamine K.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose omise dès que possible. S'il est presque l’heure de la prochaine prise, il suffit de sauter la dose omise et de revenir à votre horaire habituel.
Surdosage
Si vous pensez avoir pris une surdose du médicament, demandez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante entre 15-30 °C (59-86 °F), hors de portée des enfants, des animaux, à l’abri de humidité et de la lumière du soleil.
