Aciphex (Rabeprazole)
Informations générales
Aciphex appartient à un groupe de médicaments appelés les inhibiteurs de la pompe à protons (IPP). Il diminue la quantité d'acide produite dans l'estomac. Son composant principal est le rabéprazole. Il est utilisé pour traiter des problèmes liés à l'acide gastrique / intestinale et à la gorge (œsophage) tels que la maladie de reflux gastro-oesophagien, les ulcères, l'œsophagite érosive, le syndrome de Zollinger-Ellison. Il peut également empêcher des dommages sérieux de votre système digestif dûs à l'acide. Aciphex peut également être utilisé en association avec des antibiotiques pour traiter certains types d'ulcères provoqués par une infection bactérienne.
Posologie
Prenez Aciphex conformément aux prescriptions de votre médecin. Prenez ce médicament avec un verre plein d'eau avec ou sans nourriture. Prenez ce médicament par voie orale, habituellement une fois par jour. Utilisez-le à la même heure chaque jour. Ne l’écrasez pas, ne le mâchez pas ou ne le cassez pas. D’habitude, Aciphex n’est administré que pendant une période de 4 à 8 semaines. Lorsqu’on traite l'infection à H. pylori, il est nécessaire de prendre Aciphex seulement pour 7 jours. Consultez votre médecin si vos symptômes ne s'améliorent pas ou s'ils s'aggravent pendant que vous prenez Aciphex.
Précautions
Avant de prendre Aciphex, avertissez votre médecin si vous avez une maladie grave du foie, des problèmes d'estomac ou le faible taux de magnésium dans le sang. Suivez les instructions de votre médecin au sujet des restrictions de la nourriture, des boissons ou de l'activité.
Contre-indications
Aciphex est contre-indiqué chez les patients ayant une hypersensibilité au rabéprazole, aux benzimidazoles substitués ou à l’un des composants du médicament. Avisez votre médecin si vous êtes enceinte ou allaitez.
Effets secondaires possibles
Ce médicament est généralement bien toléré. Mais cherchez de l'aide médicale d'urgence si vous avez: les symptômes de magnésium bas (le rythme cardiaque irrégulier, la saisie, des étourdissements, une faiblesse musculaire, la toux), une réaction allergique (un gonflement du visage, des lèvres, une difficulté à respirer, l’urticaire). Les effets secondaires moins graves peuvent inclure: des démangeaisons, la nervosité, une diarrhée, des maux de tête, des éruptions cutanées, des maux d'estomac, l’insomnie. Si vous remarquez d'autres effets, consultez votre médecin ou votre pharmacien.
Interaction des médicaments
Informez votre médecin de tous les médicaments que vous utilisez, notamment: la digoxine, la cyclosporine, les diurétiques, l'atazanavir, un anticoagulant (warfarine), le clopidogrel. Ne commencez pas, n’arrêtez pas ou ne modifiez pas la posologie du médicament sans consulter au préalable avec votre médecin.
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. Sautez-la s'il est temps pour votre prochaine dose. Ne prenez pas de doses supplémentaires pour compenser la dose oubliée.
Surdosage
Aucun symptôme de surdose n’est connu. Si vous pensez que vous avez une surdose du médicament, cherchez de l’aide médicale d'urgence immédiatement.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à la température ambiante entre 59-77 degrés F (15-25 degrés C) à l’abri de la lumière et de l'humidité. Conservez tous les médicaments hors de portée des enfants et des animaux domestiques.
