Informations générales
Motilium est prescrit pour le traitement des vomissements d'origine différente, de l’hoquet, de l’atonie du tube digestif, la nécessité d'accélérer un péristaltisme pour l'examen radiographique, de la dyspepsie causée par l'estomac lent, du reflux gastroœsophagien, de l’œsophagite, du gaz, des brûlures d'estomac avec ou sans passage du contenu gastrique dans la bouche. Il agit en bloquant les récepteurs dopaminergiques centraux et périphériques. Il soulage la nausée et le hoquet.
Posologie
Il est recommandé de prendre le médicament conformément aux prescriptions de votre médecin. La dose initiale est de 10 mg 3-4 fois par jour. Elle peut être augmentée jusqu’à 20 mg 3-4 fois par jour. Prenez le médicament 30 minutes avant le repas.
Précautions
Les femmes qui allaitent ne peuvent pas prendre le médicament. Les femmes enceintes peuvent prendre le médicament seulement après l'autorisation du médecin.
Contre-indications
Les patients ayant de l’hypersensibilité, de l'hémorragie dans le tractus gastro-intestinal, de l’occlusion intestinale mécanique, de la perforation de l'estomac ou des intestins, de la prolactinome aussi que les enfants ne peuvent pas prendre le médicament.
Effets secondaires possibles
Les effets secondaires peuvent être les suivants: spasmes transitoires de l'intestin, réactions allergiques (éruption cutanée, urticaire), hyperprolactinémie (galactorrhée, gynécomastie).
Interactions des médicaments
Motilium peut interagir avec la dompéridone, les médicaments anticholinergiques, les agents antifongiques azolés, les antibiotiques macrolides, les inhibiteurs de la protéase du VIH, la néfazodone (antidépresseur).
Omission de dose
Prenez la dose oubliée dès que possible. S'il est presque temps de la prochaine prise il suffit de la sauter et de revenir à votre horaire habituel.
Surdosage
Si vous soupçonnez une surdose veuillez obtenir immédiatement des soins médicaux d'urgence. Les symptômes de surdosage sont une somnolence, une désorientation, des troubles extrapyramidaux.
Conservation
Conservez le médicament à température de la pièce entre 59-77 F (15-25 C), hors de la lumière et de l'humidité, des enfants et des animaux domestiques.
