Nexium (Esomeprazole)
Información general
Nexium es una forma de Prilosec. Pertenece a la clase de inhibidores específicos de la bomba de protones (IBP) de las células parietales de la mucosa del estómago. Nexium está indicado para el tratamiento de la enfermedad por reflujo gastroesofágico (ERGE), para promover la cicatrización de la esofagitis erosiva, síndrome de Zollinger-Ellison, la erradicación de Helicobacter pylori junto con antibióticos, la terapia preventiva de las úlceras después del tratamiento con anti-inflamatorios no esteroideos medicamentos.
Instrucciones
Se recomienda tomar el medicamento como se lo indique su médico. Tome el medicamento antes de la comida. No exceda la dosis recomendada y traga cada tableta entera.
Precauciones
Antes de comenzar el tratamiento con Nexium dígale a su médico acerca de todas las condiciones que pueda tener: las enfermedades del hígado o del riñón, el embarazo, la lactancia materna.
Contraindicaciones
Niños menores de 12 años de edad y los pacientes con hipersensibilidad a Nexium o cualquier otro medicamento con benzimidazol como el mebendazol (Vermox) y albendazol (Albenza), y los pacientes tratados con atazanavir no pueden tomar el medicamento.
Los posibles efectos secundarios
Los efectos secundarios comunes son las siguientes: urticaria, inflamación de la garganta y la cara, erupción cutánea, dolor de cabeza, diarrea, flatulencia (gases), náuseas, dolor abdominal, estreñimiento o resequedad en la boca.
Interacción con otros medicamentos
Nexium puede interactuar con el diazepam, ketoconazol Nizoral), claritromicina, citalopram, clomipramina, fenitoína, imipramina.
Dosis olvidada
Tome la dosis que se ha olvidado tan pronto como sea posible. Si es casi la hora de la nueva ingesta, omítala y vuelva a su horario.Nunca exceda la dosis.
Sobredosis
Si usted piensa que tiene una sobredosis de la medicina debe buscar ayuda médica de inmediato. Los síntomas de sobredosis son confusión, dolor de cabeza, somnolencia, visión borrosa, taquicardia, náuseas, xerostomía (boca seca), sudoración, rubor, respiración superficial o falta de aliento, temblores, dysorders coordinación, o convulsiones.
Almacenamiento
Guarde el medicamento a temperatura ambiente entre 59 a 77 F (15-25 C) lejos de la luz y la humedad los niños y las mascotas.
