Nexium (Esomeprazole)
Informazioni generali
Nexium è una forma di Prilosec. Appartiene alla classe degli inibitori specifici di una pompa protonica (PPI) delle cellule parietali della mucosa dello stomaco. Nexium è prescritto per il trattamento della malattia da reflusso gastroesofageo (GERD), promuovere la guarigione di esofagite erosiva, sindrome di Zollinger-Ellison, eradicazione di Helicobacter pylori insieme ad antibiotici, e della terapia preventiva delle ulcere dopo il trattamento con farmaci anti-infiammatori non-steroidei.
Indicazioni
Si consiglia di prendere il farmaco nelle modalità con cui è stato prescritto dal medico. Prendere il farmaco prima del pasto. Non superare la dose consigliata e ingoiare la compressa intera.
Precauzioni
Prima di iniziare il trattamento con Nexium è opportuno discutere con il proprio medico di eventuali condizioni che si possono avere come : malattie del fegato o renali,gravidanza o allattamento.
Controindicazioni
I bambini sotto i 12 anni, i pazienti con ipersensibilità al Nexium o a qualsiasi altro farmaco benzimidazolo come mebendazolo (Vermox) e albendazolo (Albenza) ed i pazienti trattati con Atazanavir non possono prendere il farmaco.
Possibili effetti collaterali
Gli effetti indesiderati comuni sono iseguenti: orticaria, gonfiore della gola e del viso, eruzioni cutanee, cefalea, diarrea, flatulenza (gas), nausea, dolore addominale, stipsi, o secchezza delle fauci.
Interazioni farmacologiche
Nexium può interagire con Diazepam, Chetoconazolo, Nizoral, Claritromicina, Citalopram, Clomipramina, Fenitoina, Imipramina.
Dose mancata
Prendere la dose saltata non appena possibile. Se è quasi tempo di prendere la dose successiva saltarla e ritornare al vostro programma. Mai eccedere con le dosi.
Sovradosaggio
Se si pensa di aver consumato una dose eccessiva del farmaco cercare immediatamente assistenza medica d'emergenza. I sintomi da sovradosaggio sono:confusione,mal di testa,sonnolenza,visione offuscata,tachicardia,nausea,xerostomia (secchezza delle fauci),sudorazione,vampate di calore,respiro corto o mancanza di respiro,tremore,capacità di coordinamento difficoltose e crisi.
Conservazione
Conservare il farmaco a temperatura ambiente tra i 59-77 F (15-25 C) lontano dalla luce e dall'umidità, dalla portata di bambini e animali domestici.
