O Melasamine é utilizado no tratamento da colite ulcerosa, proctite, e proctossigmoidite. Também é utilizado para impedir a recorrência dos sintomas de colite ulcerativa. Não deve tomar Melasamine se for alérgico à mesalazina, aspirina e outros salicilatos.
Medicamento de categoria C de acordo com a FDA relativamente à gravidez. Não se sabe se Melasamine irá prejudicar o feto. Informe o seu médico se estiver grávida ou a planear engravidar durante o tratamento com este medicamento.
Mesalamine pode passar para o leite materno e ser prejudicial para o bebé. Informe o seu médico se estiver a amamentar.
Como devo tomar este medicamento?
Tome Melasamine exatamente como prescrito pelo seu médico.
Tome Melasamine com um copo cheio de água.
Que efeitos secundários posso notar com este medicamento?
Procure ajuda médica de emergência se tiver algum dos seguintes sinais de reação alérgica a Melasamine: urticária, dificuldade em respirar, rosto, lábios, língua ou garganta inchada.
Pare de tomar Melasamine e contacte o seu médico imediatamente se tiver:
- dor de estômago forte, cólicas, diarreia com sangue;
- febre, dor de cabeça, erupção cutânea;
- dor no peito, falta de ar;
- náuseas, comichão, perda de apetite, urina escura, fezes cor de barro, icterícia;
